Whilst many of you fall over yourselves rushing for the exit doors....

We played a Sheffield side today who were fit and smart and had something to play for - with the game being the last one together as many are leaving now that they have announced going full time next year.

Against that, we were playing a game 24 hours after thinking it was vital, but now knowing it wasn't - it hardly helps the preparation.

I don't think we at the races today, and there was plenty not to like about that performance, but geez, get a grip some of you, we have a massive, emotionally charged game at BV next week and we ALL need to be pulling together by Saturday - club, team, supporters!

SL is vital for our club, that is what we have fought off the threat of relegation time after time after time. This club will wither to nothing if we are relagated, and yes, we need to strengthen, but we have to have the chance to do so with SL money, sponsorship and exposure!

Come on, put this one aside and focus on the real job and not get bogged down by what was, in all reality, a glorified friendly!

The team we have financed now is based on SL money, sponsorship etc so why would we expect that to be different next season. It is not the supporters you need to inspire but the players. We have fought off relegation but never after the season we have endured and with such a thin squad.
It looks like our moral stance has reduced our squad by two players, which followed an act of stupidity by the players but how many clubs would have acted like us with only two games left. I suppose it saves us more money on our salary cap because I doubt we will be paying either of them.

I'm with you TRB. Just one more game. Let's give it our all.

The club might be financed on sl money but has also been paying off the debts of previous regimes. I've said before there's a lot I don't agree with that has gone on but we have what we have. Like trb I think the club will disappear and not that slowly if we are relegated. All around us ie cas and Leeds there is positivity. Cas have an announcement re their new ground tomorrow. I feel for all the people who have worked tirelessly for nothing and received lots of grief.

We have endured a season of watching utter garbage whilst being told it was all our fault. If we are relegated then Carter will be the man that dragged us down and probably into oblivion. I doubt he has the ability to get us back up, I would half expect him to make the squad go part time.
He relies on supporters like some on the forum to keep backing him regardless of the stupid decisions he continues to make. He did not even want to stay at Belle Vue preferring to go to Dewsbury which confirms to me the lack of respect he holds for us.

You have to bottom out one season, when you are are a Trin supporter, so why not this season?
We have finished bottom and still been given a chance of survival.
That is a proud monkey that we can no longer hang onto but will probably save us.
One game, one chance, plenty to build on next year.

Really don't understand the abuse some are aiming towards Carter, I guess we've gotta take it out on someone though.

God trb excuses to explain today's performance , bradford are a poor side and won't be a suprise to beat them but equally won't be suprise if they beat us ,beat the drum by all means but don't try and convince folk we're better than we are ,we really are poor

TRB - you said it yourself, we all need to pull together. The problem is, the ones who matter - the players - aren't doing that. Winning is a habit and we needed a good performance today to set us up for the one match in the whole season that decides our fate next week. We didn't get a good performance we got a total crock of raw sewage. BTW - I'm normally a rose tinted specs wearer but today was dire AND IT MATTERS.

Ps - I'm not running for the exit doors, I'll be supporting next season come what may. I'm just very sad that our great club has come to this.

Today we failed to put a single player into a gap against a team of part time players.
Next week we will be playing against a team of full time players.

We are a shambles.

If Carter is such a shrewd businessman why did we allow Warrington to send us a player to reduce their gap who can't play. We were doing them a favour at least we could of asked for a player or players who could of contributed. Why did we not ask for the scrum half for example but no we accept a player in name only.
We have the smallest squad so a few extra bodies would have helped.

Bit fed up putting perspective in things this year. That was terrible today, no excuse for that but I'll be back next week and will be buying 3 season tickets for next year.

One big game and this god awful season will come to a close. Here's hoping for a party next week!

Perspective- Wildthing, not everything is groovy babe.

80 minutes will define our future, it looks grim, but while there is a chance, why not be a little hopeful. Too early to put Leonard Cohen on yet.

There appears to be a lack of spirit or fight in the team which despite having a 'legend' of a coach play like strangers with no structure.. Too many on here looking at false dawns... I fear the worst against Bradford as the club has not yet sunk to its lowest depths yet. Hope I'm wrong.

TRB - think you need to have a few words with those that take the field not us faithful fans who went today for most of this season we have seen utter garbage. A work mate asked me "what do you think of this middle eights" told him should never have come about finish bottom go down "Yes but its given you a second chance" after what we have seen this season we don't deserve a second chance utter utter drivel for most of the season down to one thing those on the field not the fans.

Perspective says we have had too many dire performances to hold out much hope the squad we have can secure our sl status. The wakey spirit that has kept us off the bottom of the league in previous years with supposedly inferior squads is just not evident in the current bunch

you keep on harping on about how MC doesn't want to stay at BV you just don't get it, had the club not stood its ground it wouldn't be able to survive, the threat of moving on has secured the clubs survival even if we go down but I fair bet if the fans leave in their droves it will make it harder to return

Perspective:- This is Sport not life and death. Some things REALLY matter.

Perspective, at the start of the middle 8s you could have been playing another SL side away from home or a Leigh side at lsv full of confidence and momentum as the decideder....as it happens, you are at home against a Bradford side you battered a few week ago, have been pretty poor themselves in the 8s apart from Salford at home. 1 win against a stuttering Bradford side and you get to put this nightmare of a season behind you.

Things always look better in the morning

The things is, if Trinity win we ain't putting anything behind us. We've more than likely got the same e to look forward to next year. There are no plans to grow or build the club as that costs money, which we don't have, and there is no appetite to invest in the clubs infrastructure without it.

We will be quite a bit better off - as has been publicly stated - due to the reduced rent on BV and the fact that we have paid off the old debts - Glovers legacy! As a result we will be able to pay close to the SC - so yes, we will be better off!

The club need to move on quickly .im not sure how the squad will react. You need some emotion and then need to direct that towards a better performance. Do we have a squad capable of turning any emotion in to a performance and a win. Do we have a squad with the right mind set. I have no idea if we will be better off and if we are how the develoent of the club will be measured . I think Mr charters club have one hell of a fight on their hands next Saturday and beyond that the club needs to engage with supporters, employ people in key positions, raise funds, appoint a coach, recruit playing staff and appoiint a marketing person who can also take charge of the media.
