| Well its an okay signing. He must show the form he's shown against Hull and Bradford on a much more regular basis. Like I said it okay.

| I think we need to lose Smith and give Miller a partner he can play with.
There aren't many who can break a line like he does. We need to build on him.

| Think Miller could end up being as good as Jordan Rankin, very similar players.
Get Pita next to him next year and we got a quality half pairing.
Don't think we need a rotation hooker, as Sio is proving to be very durable.

| Very pleased with this signing good line breaker support play excellent. 15 tries in a poor team too. Be even happier when the one trick pony Tim Smith's exit is announced.

I don't think many would have agreed with this for most of the season. The turn around in his form coincided with the arrival of Smith. I suppose that we need to hope that the latter stays.

| Not a big fan of his but he does have skills when he takes on the line or in broken field play. He isn't a player to lead the team round the park so in my eyes an average signing. If he's our main play maker next year, especially in super league, Trinity will struggle to score points.
Still its good to see the club are making plans for next season and beyond.

Yeah, never did understand the need to 'rotate' a hooker. a hooker is not the specialist role it was ( and when it was a more specialist role, they never rotated anyway!) a hooker is more an extra half back and if the are playing ok why replace them? - it's not like they put the physical effort in that a prop does.

| Brave player, good support player, needs to work on his passing. Most importantly someone needs to help him find a tackle technique that works for him. As I said he has a big heart he is not afraid to put himself in the way and in the position to make a tackle but the fact is he is missing 3 or 4 tackles a match and we just cannot afford that. My opinion is a good coach would encourage him to to copy Danny Brough and Rob Burrow and just tackle round the legs and boy do they do a great job in defense. Also show him some footage of Alan Skeene who was a fantastic defender not the biggest but was another who tackled round the legs.

| Certainly one of our better players this season and an excellent signing for 2 years.
I agree that he isn't the guy to dictate play but, he's excellent in support and can step players for fun, which has seen him score some great try's for us.
Strange how we started the season looking for a partner for Smith in the halves and now we are looking for a player to help Miller.

I disagree, for me an interchange hooker is a must. There defending straight down the middle of the park so that takes the steam out of them and there also doing a lot more work than any other player on the field when we have the ball, by getting behind the play the ball.
If we do go down the route of only having one hooker I think we will be the only team in the league doing so.
For me Miller is a great signing, one of the only players in the team this year capable of breaking the line, much improved defense and still young enough to develop in other areas.

| Slightly different as they have Roby but off the top of my head, Saints dont rotate hookers. Its something i think that will die out over the next few years. The Aussies are starting it already. With the number of interchanges reducing, they are asking there hookers to do the full 80.
For me it all depends what league we are in. If its SL Miller is an ok signing. If its Championship, its a great signing.
I wonder how many we have got lined up based on us staying up and how many have already agreed deals elsewhere based on us going down??
There was a chief exec on the radio last week talking about how most players have a 30 day notice period in their contract based on the side getting relegated. Apparently a few in the Championship have it in their contract for getting promoted also. Not great for the relegated players but even worse for the promoted ones. Imagine getting promoted and then the next day getting given your notice!

And what about the tackling style of your namesake, that wouldn't be the worst style to imitate!!

I used to love Belly's "Gull Wing" technique to show that he wasn't really holding the player down.

| there are half backs that can change a game and there are half backs that can run a game.
Miller is in the first category. Ironically at the moment, Tim Smith is in the second category (when he wants to)
We will need a half back to move everyone around and give miller the space. If we do get that miller will flourish. The reason miller "failed" at hull was that they expected him to run the game, not change it.
It is a good signing if we get him a decent partner. If we don't he will become the scapegoat for poor performances.
At the moment we should take the positive that he wants to sign for us!!!!

| Personally as we know we are not in the top price department I'd sign Liam Finn.
He hasn't got a lot of years left but he can lead a team and is now on the fringe at Cas.
He'd be a good partner for Miller

I'd go with that. But I'd also want cover if Godinet leaves. I think we need another as well, preferably somebody who can cover a couple of positions. Gaskell anyone? Presuming Bradford stay in the championship?

Reading his stats says different. Since playing first team Rugby from 2011 he has played a minimum of 19 games a season apart from 2012 when yes he did get injured and only played 8. I wouldn't really call him sick note tbh !
