totally unfair,what did we have before michael carter,and what would we have had if had,nt stepped in when he did,i feel gutted after tonights shambles but you cant blame Michael carter for the players,

Ha ha what a stupid thing to say.....we would have no club probably (some would say thats a positive!). If you want to vent some anger point it at the players who gave such a spineless, pathetic,heartless performance .

Some things unfair but overall Mr Carter took over this club with very little knowledge of rugby which for me is a no no. Look at marwan he's got loads of money but again little knowledge of the game. It doesn't work and has been proven this season. As for no club totally ridiculous as always someone willing to take over regardless of the state of the club.

Just because he took over the club means he shouldn't be immune to criticism. Many of you including I criticised Glover even though he saved the club, but Carter is taking us to the same destination as Glover albeit down a different route. He's made more mistakes than not, and hasn't owned up to them. He either deflects the criticism onto previous owners or abuses the fans.

Ahhh! The old "5 millionaires waiting to step in" idea. Get real, we are taking a super league place and currently don't justify it. We can hang on, but if it is for more of the same, what's the point!

What that performance has to do with M.Carter is beyond me. Are those players/coach capable of a better performance than that? Of course they are....why they didn't perform better has little to do with the chairman I would say.

Michael Carter will be as gutted as anyone about that performance.
Isn't this the same team that ripped Bradford to pieces?
Most of them didn't turn up but that doesn't make it his fault!

The buck stops with the Chairman, for me he's doing a great job with the finances, but that does not appear to support a viable SL club. Without some very smart player acquisition and a very good coach, the level of support we have does not bring a sustainable SL club and if we survive what will change?

It is all about surviving at the moment and I think he has probably done has much has he could to achieve that....brought in experienced coach , signed new players to try and change things on the pitch. For me this season now lays in the hands of B.Smith and the players he puts out.....

Agree. He wasn't on the field and the ones who were should feel ashamed at how they have let the badge, supporters and the club down

What happened on the pitch tonight had absolutely nothing to do with Michael Carter; he's probably as gutted as we are.

Maybe not, but next time a player becomes available and is cheap as chips he may stay well clear. I'm still in disbelief we signed Jordan Tansey.

Tansey, Moore, Howarth, Kavanagh are all poor and ill informed signings and there are others who are the same but to a lesser extent.

When I saw that Lyne and Tansey were paired up on one side I knew we were in trouble against Widnes. Kevin Brown gets the ball into the outer channels where Widnes have some size, ability and speed, he must have licked his lips when he saw that centre/wing pairing.

I think Michael Carter genuinely cares about the club and he has had the guts to take it on as well as shove some of his cash in. Tonight was, I have to say bad coaching, especially in terms of selection and interchanges. Ali was blowing out of his for 20 minutes and ambled about the pitch 20 yds behind the play and Smith left him on way too long. Reece Lynne..For a moment last year I thought he might make a player but no, my original thoughts were correct; he is utter ...... How you can end up with Lee Smith as your winger beats me. Tim Smith is a liability and has to be possibly the most over-rated player ever to pull on a shirt, though I will concede playing behind a heartless pack doesn't help...but even if he had the entire Aussie pack he'd still be pants. We might pull off 3 wins against championship teams and escape yet...but to what point if this is the level we compete at? A big issue to me is that there is no captain on that side. No leader. They look like they have just met each other as they have so many times this year. I thought we'd seen the back of it after Leigh and Hull KR but nope, we are still abysmal

Yes, the breaks were made on the Tupou and Smith wing, and at a guess the reason why? No pace. As soon as they were through we were done. Locke's fine tackle saved us once, his second tackle almost did but for the fact his team~mates hadn't bothered chasing back.

Going back to the original point, the club ethos is so short term at the moment. The chairman has bred an environment where no one is looking beyond the next three weeks so half of these players have no contracts on the line if the club drop down. What's it to them if Trinity stay up or not?

I would like to thank MC for having the dumb idea to switch the home games to Saturday because if it had been on Sunday I would have been back from holiday rather than sailing through the English Channel.
I agree he does not directly influence the on field performance but he is responsible for the standard of player we put onto the field. He is also responsible for the off field which to be honest is just as poor. We have sub standard shop with sub standard goods and a questionable ticketing system. I now read on his Twitter that he cannot resist anyone who dares question any aspect of the club this time including a possible sponsor for next season.
If he wants people to speak to him directly then organise a supporters meeting much like Ted use to do rather than hide behind a Twitter account.
In the course of two seasons we have gone from competitive to abysmal and who do we blame the supporters for not being willing to spend their money on the product we have produced. I would ascertain that our season tickets on average are probably one of the highest due to the lack of incentives.
He is also responsible for preventing Chissett from being able to gloat on other clubs boards about how good we are.

It's interesting to see Carter (and Kirmond) apparently having a bit of a falling out with former employee Martin Hopkins for questioning whether the club wanted SL rugby. Hopkins said he turned up looking to put some sponsorship into the club (LBA) which if true Carter should be all over him.

I see Fozzard also had a more direct slur. Something along the lines of everything the club do is 2nd rate and make do. It's hard not to concur with his analysis.

Yep I would be surprised if I saw any LBA advertising next year after Carters and especially Kirmonds comments to Hopkins on Twitter last night.

I was staggered to see MC's comment on twitter last night. Asking if Martin's complaint was to do with the free food or drink he had received is a disgusting comment to make to any fan in our clubs hospitality area. Pathetic jibe made to an obviously passionate Wakey fan who like us all observed the most dispassionate can't be ars*d performance in one of the most critical games for our clubs future.
