I think Owen had a good game today, unfortunately he tried forcing a few passes which weren't on, but he wasn't the only one. I'd say Collis made a few wrong decisions to force the pass and turn the ball over.

I have never read such drivel, you pick out one player because of the personal vendetta some of you have. He gave a pass trying to create a scoring opportunity when the score was something like 30 points to 14, what do you want him to do just accept the tackle. I heard some around me criticising Hall for the failed short kick off, so what it didn't work but neither did it lose us the game.

He probably wasn't at his best today but he wasn't alone there and shouldn't really be singled out. He did look like like he picked up a knock so Johnstone might get his place next week.

The only criticism of the short kick off, is that it should have been tried earlier, or even mix it up.
Brough would have been trying alsorts of kick off, if Hudds had been behind.
Think this is the only time that I agree with NGB4C about mixing the kick offs up!!

At that stage of the game we were never going to get back into it so all Hall did with the short kick off was gift the giants the field position to score yet another try, but that wasn't as bad as the suicidal pass he threw on our line which led to their last try. Just a couple of examples of poor decision making which seemed to affect quite a few players today

So these two examples had no impact on the result but we still find a way to criticise?

14-18 with 20 or so minutes left playing for field position, seeing out their sets and making a poor Huddersfield side start their six from their goal line, maybe forcing a mistake whilst they were on the rack. At 30-14 with 5 to go we managed to concede an unnecessary additional 14 points. Time will tell if that costs us.

NGB4C - did you see that amazing centre pass the ball to a Hudds player or were you just watching for Owens errors lets face it there was far more than one player having yet another bad day it don't say a lot when for me two players who didn't do the full 80 were our better players one the deserved MOM Ali the other that played less time Crowther the old man of the side and the up coming youngster.Time for spec savers so you will be able to see the others that were just as bad me thinks

Collis is not the type of centre to look for the pass. 95% of the time you can guarantee he will try and sidestep taking players on the inside. It's frustrating how often he nearly gets through! that isn't owens fault.

Owen has been defending pretty well and for me he has had enthusiasm. He was the first to encourage the team after we went 18-0 down. He's made a few breaks and does the hard graft making plenty of yards carrying out of our 20. He's no superstar but he's been solid and done very little wrong which is why he's kept the shirt.

That said, Id like to see some experimentation for wigan. We have to mix it up after sustaining 4 losses in a row. 2 of which were on the heavy side.

Have to say I agree, he is gash.
His body language and demeanour looks like a man who couldn't give a toss. Opposition will always pressure a player who looks as if he does not want to be there.
Why do we need to see his builders cleavage during a game? Tom Johnson please.
Other posters are correct though, you cannot single him out for dire decision making.
