They can be interchangeable, Brough and Robinson for example.

From the NZ Warriors link, they class him as a half, reservations about his size but not his ability.
By the sounds of it, he is quick creative and unselfish.

He is a halfback who had to play at hooker: Jimmy and Johnson keeping him out.
Was also mentioned earlier in season as a reason why other rumour (Siejka) was allowed release, cover available.
He is older and bigger (taller) than he seems, often quoted as his downside.
Really happy with this, with fingers crossed he produces for WTW.

Agar seems to be of the opinion he is a 6 who can cover 9 so the question is does this guy takes Sykes' place or Wildie's?

I'm inclined to think Sykes.

Sykes is not a out-and-out stand off as some people has stated - although the team worked a lot better when he was playing along side Smith who has left us obviously. However Sykes is at the back-end of the career and has been getting injuries.

Just looking at his you tube highlights and he played mostly at 7 or 9.
Quite a tricky and elusive runner, will be nice to have a bit of mid field pace in the side again.

Not sure I am allowed to express an opinion.... But


I watch a lot of reserve grade... And this guy has been coming for the past few years... Talented player... Good runner and a try scorer... Often makes his own tries... Has done ok in first grade without being able to oust Shaun Johnston, Maloney etc.

Has been groomed away from half by the warriors to become an impact hooker... Pushing a square peg into a round hole afa I am concerned.

reminds me of a cross between Geoff bagnall and Neville ramsey...

I think he has the talent to go well.
