He'd be a decent shout for us on a 1 year contract; injuries notwithstanding, he's still a tidy player.

Let's develop our own for a change and put some faith in Wildie and Maskill at 9. Then we can look at getting in a half decent scrum half.

Get Maskill on a 3 month training plan to be ready for the start of SL and on bench. He seems to have the skills to make a good 9.

That's a big call with relegation at the end of next season!

Wildie has been around a while and isnt a young lad anymore, he has experience so can do it. Maskill clearly has the skills but needs a bit more physically.

Cuts need to be made and I think this is one area we can look at. Whilst investing that bit more in scrum half, and forward positions.

I'm looking forward to the fight next year for sure! Wildie got regular game time under kear and looked decent and we didn't get relegated then.

If it had been two down, you know the model we are supporting cos gawwy says we should, then we would have gone down.

I'd like to see Wildie rotating with a more experienced rake. Maskill is nowhere near ready.

Have you actualy watched any of the under 19`s games, Maskill is nowhere near good enough, he can`t pass, tackle or manage a game, he has very deceptive pace ..... he is a lot slower than he looks. Is he even still on the books because if he is , it will have nothing to do with his playing ability.

Gotta say that I don't see Wildie steering us through games, he looks very average to me.

Watched my belovered Hudds Town stuff Leeds Urinals today with a makeshift front line and midfield,I thought we would lose easily but little do I know,they played Leeds off the pitch,so next season what ever team Wakey put out there is always the chance of surprise like the 2012 season with a makeshift side.Keep the faith,Trin will come good.

Belly your wasting your time ,you can't educate pork mate , you like me watch the academy on a regular basis ,you like me have said on so many occasions there is no potential there including young maskill ,folk on here a judging a player on one performance against no better than a useful open age side

You may watch the academy on a more frequent basis and your opinions can hold more weight than mine on the subject but don't come accross all arrogant.

And folk on here as you say will naturally base opinions on what experience they have seen as that is all they have to form opinions on.

I suggest if you are a professional potential decider beyond reproach you should be the academy coach and sort it out.

I'm an old man now, but was an academy coach for many years, and had our current england coach among my players for my sins so I think I talk from experience if nothing else and I'm very comfortable with my judgement

You can be confident and if I'd have known that and your post was more about the discussion than an indirect assault then I'd have replied a little more appropriately.

Anyway, as I say your opinions on certain players may be formed on your background and more exposure than mine. I can accept this if its put accross correctly.

Maybe, Maskill isn't the answer but It would all depend on finances and who we can bring in and where as to whether he would get any sort of chance next year.

Moving a little away here but, I would be interested in who you think would be or could be a good addition to 2014 from our young players? This is a genuine question btw as I have rarely seen them but would like to know if we are likely to see any inext year
