On the positive side, he could probably have turned it down a month or so ago, so the fact that they're meeting to discuss it means he obviously hasn't rejected the idea outright.

If he's got some fight in his belly, it could be a good move for the lad. RA seems to have a lot of respect among players for being able to improve their game. It's how he'll mold his next team that will count, though.

we have 15/16 players signed for next season and 2 of them are absolute garbage.

In all honesty the Leeds 4 mentioned would be ideal on a loan deal for both Leeds and us. 4 players who have potential to get a full season under their belt. If we pay a % such as 70% and Leeds agree to 30% for the exposure to SL then it will work well for us in 2014 on a right budget.

With Wildie and possibly macshane I'd look at offloading Aiton for some £££s and look at a key Scrum half to come in and sign up Kaye.

Some wheeling and dealing to be done for sure but if something could be thrashed out with Leeds then I'm all for it. Screw what rest if RL thinks tbh as it's vital we pull a competitive team and by any means necessary.

Two centres, a backrower and a hooker aren't priority positions in my mind, that is unless Aiton is sold then a 9 to work with Wildie (if he's retained) would be required.

That would be the idea for me. For eg if there was a 75k offer for Aiton on the table. Accept and do a deal with Leeds for these 4 to the value of aitons contract plus some of the monies from transfer. That's 4 players for 2014 from Leeds production line and they aren't half bad either. That would be a no brainer for me.

Aiton for 4 Leeds players to see us through 2014 and bulk out the squad a bit. I doubt Aitons contract and transfer would be met with these 4 if Leeds agree to a Loan %.. Leaving a small sum to go towards the debt or a SH. I wouldn't know the particulars obviously but if there was any sniff of this I'd be on the phone wheeling and dealing right now to see if it could be worked.

We correctly ridicule a Salford forum members regarding their presumed signing of two of our players and we now do the same. We also expand on the gossip to such a level that we have apparently sold Aiton and worked out what share Leeds would pay towards their player's salary.
We have also for some strange reason decided to lambast two of our current squad who I presume are happy to continue to fight for the club. We should all remember that you cannot make a competitive team without experience. I do not understand why some forum members feel it necessary to continually undermine certain players at every opportunity.

He'd be barmy to come to us in my opinion, but can Wigan fit him in now? I'd be more than surprised if the great unwashed don't go for him now they've "turned the corner".
