Yeah would love to replace him with Foxy but when Cockyne goes a replacement for him I was thinking.

Can't honestly see us making a solitary signing until we reach the 3,000 membership sales myself.

Would be very good for us if we did manage to scrape together enough brass - but I can't help think that what little we do have should probably be diverted more pressing requirements.

Anyway, we don't have a great record with fast wingers, the big and burley suit us much better as we are generally coming out of our own half and do plenty of defending.

White, Fox, Sampson etc.....

For the wing, I'd stick with the young ones.
If I'm spending money, scrum half is priority, or decide on the ones we have at least.

Need to wake up and all focus on how money can be raised to keep the club in existence instead of looking at spending money on reject wingers from other clubs.

I would have thought if the right player comes along at the right price he should be signed after all you need 17 to play SL and we havn't even got that many yet.

I think the speculation is a bit of light relief. We all know we are in the as can be seen by the thread on generating income. We all know in our heart of hearts we won't sign anyone until we have over 3000 season tickets sold, so please don't deny us the only pleasure left which is mindless speculation!

Whilst we have clearly to make adjustments, we cannot start in Feb with 16 players, so some have to be found and signed. We cannot forget what we are here for and we must do this in unison with the efforts to adjust expenditure in all areas.

In essence, I believe that we are on the look-out for players and especially ones who will bring good value for money to the club.

I used to think Steve Ferres was a good bloke and new his stuff untill he came to us and his answer was to take the club into admin clear the debts sell our better players then start with a clean slate, fortuatly Cas would not go his way so he took his bat and ball home an we [useam[/u to have turned the corner. As for you signing more players 100% yes you must do this to have a squad but surley with your plight as it is you will have to off load some of your bigger earners to bring in more on less, I am pretty sure the Kirmond to Salford will come up again now he has missed his chance with Warrington which I am pretty sure he is gutted about. That is unless the STs start to shift.

I'm not in the know but I'm pretty sure we are not up to the salary cap for 16 players.
We are possibly up to what we can afford. Not the same thing.
