| What a player.
Probably the most skillful player i've seen in a Trinity shirt and although he's put a few pounds on over the last few seasons, he was more than capable of playing any where from 6-13
and could offload with a full team on him.
Top player and it's been a privilage to see the guy perform !

| most gifted forward ive ever seen in a trinity shirt, as someone said could be absolutely unplayable at his best could infuriate you with niggly penalties but the good far outweighs the negative, super league would have been a far darker place without his ball handling skills he lit it up all the best david it was a privilege to watch you in the red white and blue

| What they ^^ said.....will never forget the try he scored at Wigan when he somehow managed to reach through about 4 tacklers legs and plonk the ball down on the line on the last tackle....no-one else in SL would have scored that try....

| The abuse he got from some sections of the crowd was shocking after he left. He played the last part of the 06 season with a busted arm but managed to drag us through and keep us up.

| The solomona domic partnership was as good as it gets, two players that literally knew what the other was doing before they even did it!
Good luck in your retirement Dave, one of the most gifted rl players I've ever seen at bellvue

Domic / Solomona, agreed, those names go together for me, like Fox and Turner etc. All the best in retirement David.

| One of the best tries I ever saw, was when we were playing Bradford I think the week before the million pound game, he took the ball and went down a ridiculously small blind side, fed semi for a try.
Great player

| My favourite WTW player been watching 15yrs and seeing spontanous brilliance, talent, a desire and hunger to suceed.
He kept us up, he won us games, he inspired many. Such an honour to witness his greatness when he is at his best. One of our best imports.

Well you are not wrong and it just shows how some fans are brain dead.
He played on with a torn muscle and a broken bone in is hand, several games later he helped keep us up.
Injections and a desire not to fail made him a special Wakey player.
All the best to David Solomona.

| I have watched Trinity for the last 25 years and in that time the number of reputation players who have come here and really had an impact is tiny.
There are plenty who made there reputation with us like JD, but that's different.
The list FWIW is in order
David Solomona
Ray Price
Sid Domic
and if all goes well this season Tim Smith.
There are others who made limited but honourable efforts, Steve Ella, Adrian Shelford, Steve Prescott, Andy Mason and Andrew Leeds to name a few - but only the three I named really made an impact to match their reputations for me - unless I've forgotten a really obvious one (remember though they had to have arrived with a big reputation).

I think it was Ned Catic who backed him up and scored the try.
His try in the final seconds at Wigan where he used his Inspector Gadget arm and his four at home v London stand out too.
Great player. Could have signed for any team in Super League and whoever got him to sign for us on the quiet did a good job.

My bad! evidently I was so impressed by the Solo move, I didn't pay enough attention to the try scorer!

Best single punch, when he downed Nero at BV I've ever seen.Watching it with my son and told him that I don't agree with what he did,but if you do ,that's how to do it.....All the best David for the future, great player.

| Basically a Scum half trapped in a props body, at Wire i've seen him do things and thought 'did he just do what i think he did'?
I've gone home watched the replay and thought bloody hell he did do that.

| King David
Deserves the genius tag... frustrating at times with discipline as folk have mentioned but edge of seat stuff as soon as play came near him - with or without the ball, especially with...
He Domic and Semi was the most devastating partnership ive ever seen at Belle Vue and I'd go as far as to say on there day I havent seen many more better anywhere else. Moments of magic.. loved a scrap (or at least knocking Nero out) .. and a thoroughly nice guy off the pitch who would always have a chat and make time with fans

I take you meant scrum
I didn't think he could come back after that broken leg, did well to even pull a shirt back on
quality player and was pleased that he graced our team with his skills
happy retirement Dave

. i put it down to a team that was forged in sucess in the play offs and then backs to the wall in the relegation scrap. whatever it was they have certainly stuck together which ever club they have been at. as the saying goes a band of brothers. best of luck to them all
