This is quite frankly a poor record and the away wins have come from the basement clubs (which it is nice to say Wakefield are not that this season... and indeed that is an away loss!)

Going to be a good one, given Wakefield appear to be the form team of the two overall! Wonder what the bookies will say?

We're looking forward to it IA. It should be a cracker and thankfully not a foregone conclusion, unless you are Ian Millward.

It shows that even though Wakefield are on form, it is a tough game for us. Leeds have playoff form on the board over a number of seasons. I can't see them letting that go easily.
But odds are often wrong, so we'll see.

We go into this game as underdogs with absolutely nothing to lose, having already exceeded our own expectations and those of virtually all RL commentators; in that sense, win or lose, we've still won.

Leeds on the other hand, will be expected to win by the whole of the onlooking RL community and certainly by their own fans, some of whom have brushed this game aside as an inconvenience on their path to the GF.

I'm not sure if that will have an impact on the players of either team but if it does, it's in our favour. I'm not ignorant to the fact however that Leeds know how to win when it matters and form aside, they have some quality players right across the park. And Weller Hauraki.

Personally, I think we'll beat them up the middle but bomb some chances through nervy finishing; they'll single out our weak edge defence and the likes of Hall, Watkins and Hardaker will have a field day. Can't call the result - just hope we give a good account of ourselves and make it competitive.

Leeds will be favourites and rightly so,but this game is very winnable if we perform to our best. In the last couple of weeks due to a mixture of emotions our performances haven't hit the heights necessary, but the pressure is off for this one so we can go all or nothing. If we defend well we will give ourselves a fighting chance as Leeds' form going into the playoffs isn't as good as last year. We''ll give them a damn good game thats for sure and if we can get on top early to quieten the southstand and we all get right behind them then we can do it.

It would only be a one in eight chance if each team had an equal chance of getting there. The fact that some teams will have to play less games that others, and some will always play at home and (like us) some will always play away, means it will never be a one in eight chance.

And one in eight chance works out as 7/1. Only Wigan and Warrington have better odds than that.

This is my main fear. We are very leaky on the wings and Leeds have some excellent finishers out wide. Shore up the wings and we give ourselves a good chance of winning.

I've been told Leeds were woeful at Huddersfield but that might be their bad game out of the way in time for the play-offs where they hit form.

You are definitely favourites and will probably give 10-14 points on the handicap i would imagine. I'm going to Headingley with the firm belief that we can win though (and so will the team)

Think Warrington were the last team to knock Leeds out of the playoffs at Headingley. I am tipping us to do this. If it comes down to fitness think we might have a bit more left in the tank towards the end of the game. Our forwards are playing better at moment and and think this will be a key in this game.

Could easily get torn apart in the backs though. Just hope we maintain composure in defence and for goodness sake watch the Sinfield kicks!!!

Its a one off game, winner takes all and although Leeds will be the bookies favourites, we will turn up and give them a damn good go and who knows what will happen.
The one sure thing is that our boys will be relishing the task and Leeds, who have everything to lose, wont be wanting to play the Mighty Trin.

Fair comment - I probably extrapolated some of the more 'eccentric' comments on your board as a more general consensus.

Nevertheless, we will be considered massive underdogs - just the way we like it!

I think the general consensus on the Leeds board is that Wakefield are going to be tough, given our form and yours, but equally I think most Leeds fans think the team have in them to beat you... in the same way I think you feel the same.

No one is under any illusions about this game or getting near another GF at the moment, it is going to be very tough to beat you, never mind go further.

Equally, I think you will struggle to find many Rhinos who would disagree with you about Weller Hauraki!

I was looking through the format of playoffs

If we beat Leeds our next two games would be 2 of Wigan, Warrington and Sts and then probably the other one of the three in the final
The only plus is we will never play Catalan away.

The only way we play anyone but these three is if one of the lower clubs gets through to the final.

If we beat Leeds we either play
Wigan if they lose their game against Catalan
or the loser of Warrington v Sts.

It would be a hell of a ride but if we make it through we will have beaten the top teams to get there.
That's why we are 125/1........don't seem so great odds now.

You would get Wigan, if they win, if they lose to Catalan, then you would indeed get the winner or the Warrington v Saints game, so you are right, no trip to France

If Leeds win then they will get the lowest place losers from the top 4, so we will never get Wigan in week 2, but can get Catalan, Saints or Warrington away.

The difference for you is that the top team may not pick you as the Club Call pick but they will always pick us.

I know I'm taking it more seriously than necessary at this stage but I like to know the shirts I'm going to dream about us beating
