| With Batley now punching above their weight in the Championship, another excellent win yesterday against Leigh, should JK have had another season at BV or were we right to let him go ?

| Are they playing one pass rugby?
I said it then and stick with it now, I think we were right to get rid!

In fairness, most of us had had enough of the rugby we were playing 2 seasons ago (no to mention the regular batterings) but, he looks to be doing a great job at the mount, just as he did for the vast majority of the time he was here.
We will never know for sure if he could have transformed our on field fortunes had he stayed but, it does seem that he's doing well at Batley.
A very dignified and passionate coach and we owe him a great deal for the "great eascape" season and our albeit breif spell at the top of SL just before the wheels fell off.

| Right for the club and coach to go their separate ways as long as the successor was an improvement. Personally I don't believe Agar is. Anyhow its water under the bridge and time to look forward.

| On the whole Kear did a decent job for a few seasons but that last season the team selections and tactics were very very baffling for an experienced coach. We all know what scraps he had to work with but, the hammerings we were taking with no alteration from week to week was unforgivable. With the worst half-backs in the league he constantly played people out of position. An ideal opportunity to blood some youngsters into Super League, looking at his team sheet every week was depressing and wondering if we could keep the opposition under 50pts is all we could hope for. Although Agar isn't the best we could hope for but Kear would be a giant leap backwards.

| I like what he did for Wakefield and would go as far as to say that he has been the most influencial coach we've had while I've been watching Wakefield (and I go back to late 70s).
Many times he made average players into better ones and bonded a team to beat teams they really shouldn't have expected to.
Equally we had games where it didn't go well. That's just sport I'm afraid.
I didn't want Kear before he came. Didn't really like the teams he'd been at, but he changed my mind and it remains changed.
I didn't really want Agar either, preferring to keep Kear, but now we have Agar I'm willing to learn from my mistake with Kear and give him a chance to prove himself and build a club.

This for me. A new 2 year deal and would have let him make the signings he wanted (within budget) and then live or die by that sword.
I felt bad when he went with the team he had cobbled together.

Not strictly true is it, in fact not true at all. However it's done now so move on - JK is just one of the better parts of the clubs history and best left there.

| JK did well for Wakey when he came and we needed it lets not forget that.Probably it was the right time to part company and Agar just might prove somedoubters wrong given time who knows.I certainly think we would be higher up the table with JK but whos to say he would have brought this set of players in and not gone for a different set.

This is true. I understand that Aiton was an Agar signing and he is certainly an excellent player

| It was not the best way to have the Manager moved out but it is in the past and part of the clubs vast history. Is Agar the man for all seasons? time will tell. However Mr Potter is now up for grabs should Mr Glover want to make changes.

Fortunately, Agar is still under contract as I really don't think Potter would suit our club.
(That said, hoping Potter and the Bulls coaching staff can find new employment and soon).

Thing is, Kear hit the ground running. I think its very unfair to point to how things went in the immediate aftermath of Administration. He stood no chance at all with that squad; as for blooding youngsters, were there really that many who were good enough or anywhere near ready? I stand to be corrected but the glimpses I got didn't show any future internationals shouting out. The whole season could never be anything more than damage limitation. I don't see any hope at all with Agar. Same mistakes over and over. No sign the coach knows how to get the squad to at least partly improve the obvious flaws. I am happy to eat my words but I cannot see a hope RA can really coach at this level. The only thing one might say is that the squad was assembled to a great degree before he was in place and the final test is seeing what he brings in and what he makes of them.....but would I risk my cash on him if I was AG; not on your Nellie. There has been very little to suggest we have improved or moved forward on the pitch except for a few occasional flashes in tha pan that soon are gone. If we can afford it, unless there is a marked improvement in these last few games, I would not start next year with Agar or risk valuable resources on him. And Bradford's loss I wouldn't at all mind being our gain.

| Don't want to talk down what Kear achieved with us here because I was a big admirer of him but we got regularly spanked throughout his time here and spanked worse than what we we have this year so far.
No doubt I'd like some of our close loses back this year but imo some people are really over doing how poor we've played this year, with the squad we've got we're doing about par for the course.
