| World War 1, it's all Ben's fault.
The great depression of the 1930's, it's all Ben's fault.
The rise of fascism, it's all Ben's fault.
World War 2, it's all Ben's fault.
The general strikes of the 1980's, it's all Ben's fault.
The fall of the 21st century economy, it's all Ben's fault.
The slow collapse of the monitory system, ooooh you guessed it, it's all Ben's fault.
(If you can think of anything else that's Ben's fault please add it to the list!)
To hear the excuses of the FC fan's as I was leaving was worth the entry alone!
"That's what you get for being raised on the East side of our city"- well actually he was raised on the East side of my city, but we love him anyway!
Great game Charlie & well done for not being bated to the the atmosphere!
Top performance from a top player!

| Classic cry baby sports fans who think it's acceptable to give out all sorts of abuse to a player but if said player gives a bit back out come the dummies and they can't take it. If you're going to give it out you've got to be big enough to get it back.
On another note I can't understand why there was no response to my text about the large number of Hull fans being disrespectful to the referee before kick off!

Didn't you see Ben do it??
He must have been sneaky & done it whilst you weren't looking, I bet there were 1500 people who would vouch for having seen him do it. Probably whilst he was hiding those ballet boxes for George W Bush & just before leaving a smoldering cig butt by the Reichstag (all during half time!!!).
The guy must be faster than Santa & more ruthless than Ugday Hussain!

Went to the same school as me (Normanton Freeston High) along with 2 other Bens in Super League; Westwood and Thaler.

| I was at Ponte NEW college at the same time as our captain & Richie Whiting. I used to sit next to Rich in psychology, top bloke, Tim Bresnan was in that class too as it happens. Kirmo was always a quiet lad & seems to have really grown into himself over the last couple of years.

| What a role model Ben Cockayne is.
He is a terrific player let down by his moronic attitude. He will always get abuse from sections of the crowd due to his disgraceful past. Whilst I don't condone some of the responses he got from the crowd, he should be professional enough to ignore it. Only an immature petulant idiot would try and bait the crowd. He gets paid to be a professional and it's about time he started acting like it.
We have enough problems with idiots at our clubs without players trying to encourage them. I can't believe some of your fans are condoning his behaviour. Do two wrongs make a right in Wakefield?

It's good to know that Hull fans are holding up the moral integrity of Rugby League. It must have been very time consuming giving Sean long grief when he played for you given his dubious past. In fact I'm surprised Hull fans ever have time to support their team given the number of dubious characters we have knocking around in Super League.
For what it is worth I am no fan of Cockayne and would have preferred him not to have come to our club but then as I have already said our club and the sport long crossed what I would see as the moral line regarding player behaviour so that's what we have to live with. Why should any player have to put up with the sort of grief Cockayne got yesterday and not then be able to celebrate and give a bit back when the tables are turned? I mean if we are taking the moral high ground then most Hull fans should have been removed from the ground before kick off given their foul and abusive chanting towards Ganson as he warmed up, it is a family game after all...

| If a player who has been abused for 80 minutes and had bottles thrown at him after the final hooter
can't celebrate in front of his own supporters at thier own ground then there's something wrong
isn't there?

And lets face it Castleford got fined/warned for the same thing it was a disgrace the abuse players/fans/officials got from a large section of Hull supporters, would it of been better that Hull fans didn't abuse the ref and throw bottles at players in the first place...??? It is Hull fans that need to stand back and take a look at the simpletons around them do the right thing and get them band from our family sport..

Understand what you are saying but i don't see an issue with players giving a bit back. For far too long fans have hurled abuse at players then cried foul when the player retorts. Although a little juvenile, he didn't appear to do anything more then going OTT celebrating the win, hardly a crime.
Jason Chan once gave the Trinity supporters the finger when he was getting a bit of stick from them and last season Chase did a little jig in front of us following a Cas victory due the stick he was getting about his liberty.
