| Interesting that a chant of 'we want Agar out' went up at 10 - 30 didn't hear it after that though!
Cracking second half and in all honesty if it hadn't been for numerous stupid mistakes we would have walked the game easily. Thought Hull looked out on their feet with 15 to go and we took advantage. It's been a long time since a game has got me that interested and that I've really enjoyed, I might even be looking forward to next Monday!

| Was hull fans singing that, few wakey fans joined in joking. Then started singing "we love you agar" and "you want agar back"
Fantastic comeback that was, still can't believe it. Wakey fans were rocking in last 20

| Thought it was a stupid chant amyway. At that point, nothing that was going wrong could be attributed to Agar. Just silly errors. When we cut them out we were great.
Also heard a few irritating calls at Smith but again I thought he (among a lot of others) won us the game. His attidude was top draw. Whether it went right or wrong he was shouting orders and was first to kicks. His tackling was good today too.
Well done all. Sykes pipped MoM for me but some hard workers could have got it too. Props played long stints.
Loved it. Bet Agar did too.

| Wonderful afternoon!
There's such a fine line between success and failure in sport isn't there...... 50 minutes in and we were the same old Wakey.....Agar was picking up his p45 and Tim Smith was joining all the rest of the useless Aussies of times past back on the plane home.
What then happened was unreal, a spark from somewhere and having looked dead and buried we began to believe in our selves all of a sudden it was game on. Lets be honest, the first 50 minutes was easily forgettable (barring Fox's superb try) as we were woeful and Hull never needed to get out of 2nd gear to move into a comfortable lead.
Think Steve Southern deserves a bit of credit....he's had his knockers but I thought he did excellent today when he came on, he gave us great go forward and quick play-the balls....the huge difference though was Kyle Wood to half back......it released a bit of pressure off Smith and Sykes who both played far better when Wood was on....we shifted the ball around better instead of the one out stuff we had done before.....and Paul Aiton was nothing short of sensational when used as a running forward on the fringes.....he took the ball in time after time in bruising fashion and for me would have just edged the excellent Sykes for m.o.m....
The last half hour was as enjoyable as I've seen for quite a while and I thought in the end we ran out very worthy winners. Lets hope we can build further on this and go and give Leeds a real game next week......

Paul wasn't the type of player that I had expected to lift Wakefield from the doldrums but he has proven to be a worthy signing.
I suppose these chances make players work that bit harder

Although I understand your point and agree in spirit I didn't quite see the game like that.
I thought we were playing well, especially in defense all the way through the game. They rarely broke our line. They only got their tries with out of the blue mistakes. We handed them field position over and over and to be honest they still wouldn't hvae broken the line if we hadn't followed one error with another.
Even though we were outgunned in size in the forwards we made ground because of our back three running the ball out and giving the guys a rest. They hardly crossed our half way until we walked them gently over it.
I thought their half backs were weak in defense and Smith spotted that and told players where to run. He and Sykes by contrast made some key tackles. I thought we handled Manu well on the whole, though they handled Ali most of the time too.
Thought our half backs and wingers made the difference today.

| Hull got a role on in the first half thanks to Ganson and at 30 - 10 they wernt 20 points better. What pleased me was the way in the second half when they tired we had the will to take the game and win it.The players battled to the end and got the rewards well done 1 to 17

| How can Agar coach what mathers did and cockaynes error? Not his fault ! Will question the Trout for Mariano decision though. Southern runs it well even him at his rightful position 2nd row with James as prop thats the thing you can question not the start of 2nd half.

Sykes was always capable of a great performance even at centre. But he seemed to struggle for consistency there and wasn't great defensively. If he get's a good stint at FB I expect you'll see the best from Sykes.
