3 players - cameron smith is a real star who is multi talented and very skillful, but the 3 i would pick for us is slater (would be a hero to all the kids), david taylor (for the size) and Thurston (skills and goal kicking)

Kicking the ball out of Inglis's hand is exactly the same as a one on one steel... Play on...

I'm not even sure he intentionally kicked it and even if he did, Inglis knocked on after regathering.

Awful decision - spoiled what was otherwise a fantastic spectacle.

Fantastic spectacle it was, but it goes to show that even the greatest players are fallible ie. winger in coming off his touchline, full backs mistime kick takes,kick out on the full, failing to find touch with a penalty and I do not remember half backs taking on the line too much.
Thought it was only Trinity guilty of same.

The referee said that the decision was the ball had been placed on the NSW player's foot and had come free so Inglis could score....

which baffled me..

Brent Tate was immense under the high ball in the second half... Hats off to him..

They need to bring back Ashley Klein...

I hope cummins watched it. Head Highs,Messing at PB,late attacks on kickers, there was a masssive amount going on that would have been penalised over here. However no players were bothered they all got on with it and the ref let it flow and it produced a great game.

We have one ref and most times you get fed of of seeing him, they have two and you never notice them.

it was ten mins to the end till it dawn on me that two was reffing it was that good, a poor video decision killed the end of the game for me

I'd take a shot on that Gallen I reckon we could find a place for him.

What made me laugh when there was a flurry of high/swinging shots on players then the ref blew up and said 'off side'!

I wish our players showed that kind of passion and aggression when defending.

managed to avoid anything to do with rl yesterday (which wasn't that hard) until i could watch game. another good game.

if we played with half of the passion and intensity that they (either team) do then we will hammer cas on saturday.

thought ben hannant was very good and greg bird for nsw caused loads of problems. especially liked birds dialogue with ref - is it your first origin game? yes. you can tell.....

Gallen was an absolute machine - he's clearly some kind of athletic freak; to do that many minutes at that level of intensity is simply not normal.

Just what we could do with, and if he wants to bring Tony Williams with him, that would be a bonus!

yeah right - 2nd worst decision ever for mine.

apart from the VR ref decision at the end, which was terrible, it showed how the game should be reffed at the top level. Obvious stuff should be pulled but any doubt and let the game flow.

How are we supposed to get intensity at SL level when the ref blows up every set of six for some marginal technical offence, or someone puts their hand near someone's face?

Decent game all in all, but you can just tell which side is used to winning and which one isn't. Carney's inexperience at the very top showed, put someone like Fittler or Daley of old in the 6 shirt for NSW and they would have won that game by 12 imo.
