Possibly the worst game I've ever seen in SL !

Cas are defending well, it may be a poor Widnes side but Cas are playing with spirit in defence.

I've seen worse this season on more than one occasion.

I can't believe I sat through it. Only thing worse is watching us!

Well I have been very critical about us this season but in my opinion I have never seen us look as bad as widnes did today.

cas were clueless in attack, and only clarke offered anything (when he came on). they were desperately missing chase, but i think everyone knows that.

widnes just offered nothing, except for a few good cover tackles on owen.

Ended up watching the snooker instead. Another dead rubber two teams with nothing to play for.

Widnes are the worst superleague side since the financially ravaged Halifax one in '03. They are terrible. Cas would have lost against anyone else today bit Widnes were that poor it made it easy for them. Agree about Darryl Clark though, that kid is the next James Roby. All class.

Aye, that's what we have come to. Fair play to Cas they are getting back into the form they had last season, I am dreading Magic Weekend.

Everything has to be focused on that game and the one after against London. Lose those two and its a battle to avoid the wooden spoon. Can't say i'm overly confident about them though.

With a better kicker we'd have probably got over 50 today - that's how poor Widnes were. Could only get near our line with the piggy-backing they got off the number of pens we gave away.

Widnes were terrible, with rangi on the pitch you would have scored 70

By the way you had orr, huby, dixon and even griffin how many chuffin kickers do you need

In defence of Widnes they did defend very well most of the time, the problem was that when they didn't make that 110% effort you scored



Have to say, Mcgoldrick made another good case for him getting the boot today, how he stayed on the pitch and got his "Leading Elbow" put on report following a video review of the incident is baffling

I thought I was watching 2 championship teams most of the match, 2 very bad teams. If we don't finish above these then it's a bad state of affairs. I had to laugh at Ferres saying if we carry on being consistent we will be in the 8 hahahah.

I agree a few championship teams are better than what we saw today, hence Cas getting bossed by Fev.

I didn't mean goalkickers, I actually meant kickers in general play. Abysmal kicking - Clark into touch, McGoldrick to no-one, Owen to the opposition. Poor, poor options and rather than going for kicks into corner we just turned over possession.

As for Griffin being slow, I think Orr's pass was mistimed really. Rather than drawing the full-back and committing him, he passed too early to allow the FB (already with a two foot advantage) to still be in the footrace.

Explains why Fev got stuffed by 60 points by two different sides around their Challenge Cup fixtures.

Let's make no bones about it, those ties were cup finals. In all honesty, Fev would have probably beat Wakefield both times too. Note you didn't say that, though.
