The idiots aside. I have never felt an atmosphere like that last night, the north stand was awesome.

We have to retain that stand for WAKEY fans only.

The club has to work on the ground now, to make the East Terrace the ONLY place for away fans.

And, by the way, the trouble wasn't started by Wakey fans' "attitude", but by Cas fans throwing bottles.

i dont have a problem with that anything has to be better than last night,just dont expect away fans to turn up when its raining or there kids cant see because they are stood in a trench down the sides.

Equally, I have no issue at all with away fans choosing not to come to BV.

Whilst I'm sure the club want the income, I would be happy with Trinity playing in front of a massively partisan crowd. This is also exactly why the North bank HAS to be for home fans only.

I really don't think anyone is in any position to say what the spark was that caused the mayhem. How do you know for sure that what you saw was the first incident? The truth is; you don't. Thats why the adults amongst us have stated over and over again that it is pointless pointing the finger at either side; simply because no-one can know for sure. Its more about stopping it from happening again. In my opinion; the behaviour that was on show last night from both Cas and Wakey fans is either in your nature or not. I seriously doubt that last night was the first time, nor the last time that these people have behaved in such a way. Unfortunately idiots will always be idiots choose who they stand next to,

Newmarket = segregation, why not start now. Move with the times pal, it's a different game now thanks to shiny new stadiums.

I for one will NOT be going in the North stand again. I can honestly say i havent been as scared at a match before as I was last night. It was ridiculous, every 2 mins bottles were flying, fights were breaking out all over the place. At the end of the day its meant to be a family game and I saw some pretty scared kiddies been carried away by parents last night. The security team were amazing but not for any money would i have done their job last night. The game was spoilt for me in the first 10 mins of the game.

Purpose built stadiums are easier to segregate, but you can still get into other areas of the ground. It is impossible to police/steward. The problem at BV is there is no natural segregation point because of the hospitality boxes. I don't know BV as well as your fans as I've only ever entered through donny road turnstiles and stood in the north stand. Would it be possible to put away fans down in the western terrace corner under the terracing there? Are there enough turnstiles in that immediate vicinity to allow it? Is the area big enough to accommodate away fans? All of this requires extensive planning by the club, certainly more than two days notice and this was a significant contributory factor to last nights debacle.

Sod off ! We stood in our normal spot on the eastern terrace last night - not a hint of trouble all night ( & there was a few cas fans there too) . Just let people go wherever they want & there's less chance of trouble

Have to agree Steady......there are some turnstiles on St. Catherine Street (below the new covered area at the bottom of the Western terrace.....but they are never open !!!!!
IMHO it was always going to be a mistake putting both sets of fans next to each other in the North stand, and sure enough the inevitable happened.
Hopefully the lessons will be learned, and what we should do in future is open the above mentioned turnstiles, and direct all away fans in to the bottom end of the Western terrace.

The whole point is that the stand was NOT segregated. Fans were mixed in, including 2 large groups from each fan-base.

Segregate it properly i.e. NO AWAY FANS ON THE NORTH BANK.

So I just dreamt the stewards stood in the middle then & the map on the web page telling cas fans where to stand then ?
Anyhow - I'm off to watch the u20's now ... to watch a decent wakey team & not that shower of poop from last night .
