I am going to go for the first time this year so can any one give a run down of the nearest airport, good hotels, best deals etc. If possible I want to go Friday and come back Sunday or Monday.
I think they only move the big games so I'm thinking we should be OK to book early?

maybe the club could organise a( package trip),i would like to see the club profit from the fixture.

not for the last 5 years and we are flying friday returning monday night so can't see a problem there.

Surely Shudds can sort one taxi out by themselves? Where do you come in? Do you make sure both the Shudds fans get flight seats next to each other?

perpignan is the nearest but it costs a fortune for food and drink in perpignan !! best for us is fly to gerona and stay in calella / lloret / blanes / malgrat ..it's only an hour in the car on very quiet roads, ground is close to the airport. taxi in perpignan ridiculous prices! i booked using lowcostholidays and we are all inclusive!

The Club and the Supporters Trust are working on this as we speak and we may have details early next week of a Supporters Package.

Its likely to be 3 night trip (Friday-Monday) staying in Perpignan. I take the point about Spain being cheaper but having done both I much prefer Perpigan for the atmosphere particularly in the bars if there are plenty od fans over from Wakefield.

Put me down for two. Cheap and Cheerful please. I can never remember going to bed on these sort of weekends so a cheap hotel will do us. I even liked the Etap in cardiff.

agree about the atmosphere but at £7 a pint and nearly £2 a coke it's spain all the way for us..last 5 years 4 have been in spain and it is the trip i look forward to most...miss the wife tho ...HONEST...

Would be interested in a Friday to Sunday package. To add an extra day to Monday would rule me out, not able to get time off work.

Can't do a Friday-Sunday package as there are no flights on Sunday. BMI baby don't fly to Perpignan anymore so Ryanair into Carcassonne is the best route but they don't fly on Sundays back from Carcassonne.

If there were to be enough interest, could Spain become an option flying into Barcelona?
We went to Barcelona from LBA it was a doddle, and even a transfer to Perp or Canet is less than an hour.

The problem is that you cannot please everyone, some want Spain and some want Perpignan, some want 3 nights and some want 2.

The tour organiser has suggested 3 nights in Perpignan and that is what has been put to the Club. The Club may endorse the trip or not.

The problem with LBA to Barcelona is that the current air fare going out Friday and back on Sunday is £250 which is far more expensive than Ryanair.

my tour organiser is on the job now, which means ill be spilling drinks over sandal cat as per tradition.

If kinley goes we could set up the barby, rather obviously this would mean kermit attending the local frog and chip shop and asking for two frogs legs, open.

Sorry if this has already been flogged to death but can anybody tell me who they are flying to France with. This will be my 3rd time now and I have always flown with bmi baby out of east midlands. Seems they have stopped this service. Air France are wanting £900.00 for two tickets. Anyone know who else is flying to Perpignan? Cheers

The only flights into Perpignan are from Stanstead or Southampton so your looking at Carcassonne, Girona or Barcelona.

There hopefully will be an announcemet shortly regarding an official Club/Supporters Trust all in package which will include flights, transfers, accommodation with breakfast, match ticket and transport to Gilbert Brutus Stadium.
