Just been listening to Peter Roe on Radio Leeds he was asked if if thought we should be given a franchise. He said that under the old regime we should definitely not. He then went onto say under the new chairman we should be given a chance.

Correct. We are where we are and whatever happens will happen. Hilarious that Roe's opinion is given any credibility considering how little most fans seem to give him when he was here.

Peter Roe was paid up in full by the club as he has admitted so I can't see why he should be bitter.

Also how come so many people seem so sure about the new regime at the club. I understand why some of the deluded on here are totally won over but you'd think someone who has been around as long as Roe should know better.

So without any fear of upsetting AG's cheerleaders on here I don't see that the new regime has done anything yet to warrant us getting a second chance. Like everyone else we should stand or fall on our application.

On the odd accasion i've spoken to him or heard him speak he's always come across very bitter to all things Trinity.

So for my money i don't care what he says.

I think ag had made good initial strides and as a starting point it looks positive.

I am also not sure as yet, and with some time passed we shall see what happens. Promising sounds so far, but there is more to work on.

Agreed, you have to start somewhere and we certainly haven't gone backwards which is the big positive. But for me as yet not gone far enough forward to seriously have a chance to change the outcome of the franchise - not yet anyway.

Agree vasty that on the face of it we can only see small but welcome changes and i'm gratefull for that. Whats happening behind closed doors will make or break us and we can only hope for the best.

Have you noticed the new found buzz around the place. We have a team that arent world beaters but yet there is a buzz around Belle Vue its not just me fans are believing again that we could go somewhere with this guy. This is because your beloved Ted as left. He was driving this club into the ground. Can't you see the changes Mr Glover is making???? Hes allready done more than Ted in 3 month than Ted as done for 5 years. We needed change and its benefiting us. I haven't given a great deal of thought until now as to weather he's grinding an axe or not (if im honest i probably thought he might be after his stint) but if as you say he was paid up in full by the club, then he should have no reason (as you rightly say) to be bitter.
So perhaps he's just saying it as it is, i've also heard something similar, from elsewhere (although this could be associated with bitterness or the renewed enthusiasm, i don't know) maybe the honest truth is/was, we had no chance of gaining a franchise under TR for whatever reasons, and now we are moving in a more professional manner we are looking a different prospect? Just a guess.
Now as for being a cheerleader for AG, me? certainly not. A cheerleader for good management of the club i love dearly? dead right.
If TR had run the club over the last few years in such a proactive manner, i would have supported him, but he didnt.
Now what i want to know is why, when there is such positivity round the place, do you feel the need to bring gloom and negativity, because that's what it is, you aren't just stoicly swimming against the tide as you may want us to think?
Nobody is saying everything is perfect, just better than it was, but all you do is post negativity, lies/mis-truths and then try and hide behind others ('im still waiting for AI to back you up by the way) when you are proved to do so.
Clearly you are a fan of long standing, but i fear your love of TR far outweighs your love of the club.
Going back to your anti AG post on the Belle Vue thread, if as i thought you were a member of SWAG i dont understand how you could post such comments knowing that they were at that meeting and so was AG, clearly you are not kept in the know or are creating mischief.
I think you need to stop acting like a spoilt child who's not got his own way and thrown a temper tantrum and start supporting the "club" you claim to love, nobody expects you to like everything thats going on, just get behind the momentum when we have it.
There will be problems in the future, as long as they are addressed in the professional manner they have been so far i will support AG, if he goes down the TR route i will be the first to decry him.
My Loyalty is to Wakefield Triniity Wildcats, not one man, and despite what you might think, currently things are vastly improved and perhaps, just perhaps the RFL may look upon us differently now (although I'm not throwing away my A-Z of NL1 clubs though just yet

)

To receive a further franchise would require some smart and hard work in the coming months.

The club has been restructured slightly and improved on the little things very well I.e - customer service (club shop, website overhaul, more frequent updates to fans)

Marketting - (tv adds, silver membership push, ticket offers)

Corporate - ( food, drink and overhaul of cats)

These above are largely cosmetic issues which are resolved and for the better. I think fans appreciate that the club has had a good facelift up to press.

These things above are what should be expected of a business and are not groundbreaking but the basics now been done properly.

Now, we need to improve the product on offer. Matchday - team ( which is going well and I'm happy) but we need some class and I hope it can be found as I appreciate we are not in pre season.

I dont know what the new regime has planned but I am interested to see what they can bring to Wakefield over the next months.

It is no coincidence many people have left Wakefield feeling bitter to Ted over the years and hate the bloke Peter was probably right as many have this feeling about Ted !!! Poor practice. Mr Glover will change this.

It's not a comparison between ted and glover. What good does that do us or the franchise?

It's glovers chance to show his worth and his responsibility now. I thank him for taking us on and it looks good so far but I think we all appreciate there is more to do.

In all honesty nobody has said glover has done anything other than make any positive steps. Nobody is saying glover has been bad for the club but just cautious at this stage and that is understandable.

I think what a lot of AG has done already is more than cosmetic.

Full boxes, new catering that trin profit from, bar promotions, cats bar, advertising, ticket promotions, people walking round selling cold drinks/beers etc.

Sure they dont cost the earth but they are revenue streams. Maximise these to maximise profits. This is the way to a bigger fan base, spending to the cap, business franchise points etc

Cosmetics I would suggest are paint jobs etc that dont in them selves make money.

Let me assure you that though I could never attain your level of understanding or comprehension of everything my loyalty to the club is 100% whilst my loyalty to Ted a man I have never met outside of SWAG business is secondary



Has it ever crossed your mind that the reason I ended up in a position to know Ted and co was so I could find out what was happening, be involved and have the first hand detail to make my own mind up. This was preferable to having to listen to self proclaimed experts such as yourself who frankly seem to think they know it all despite an utter inability to view it from any other angle than that which suits the their own bitter agenda. All you really want to do is kick a man when he's down, you can flower it up any way you like but that's what you really enjoy. a good old fashioned scapegoat.

I'm not loyal to Ted anymore than I am unloyal to AG - I'll leave such childish and lame preoccupations to you. Fact is I know the full(ish) story and history regarding Ted era first hand. Thus due to my modest involvement I am in a position to make a first hand assessment. It's not the final say on the issue it's just my view of events. I wasn't that in the know but it's based on some first hand knowledge at least. And thats really kills you, myself and a group of people who won't be cow towed into accepting your baseless finger pointing version of events.

TR made some big mistakes and made a gamble that didn't pay off, but ultimately he was guilty of nothing more than eventually killing off a club that had been on it's last legs for 30+ years and simply had to die. Wow, like that's the first time that's happened in sport or business in general. A club ironically he'd done more to keep alive than most, especially after Pearman when there was no AG in the wings to save the day and when by rights the club should have ceased to exist. If you were anything like the loyal fan you claim to be you know all that wouldn't you. Your comment on good management is especially hilarious, you base this on 4 month at the helm, jeez give your brain a rest.

What you are is a bandwagon jumper - who I guarantee will be the first to jump ship when/if things go wrong for AG - I can see it now. Ted is long gone, and unless you are in a position to take out a private prosecution using the mountains of of evidence you almost certainly don't possess it's best left that way Andrew Glover is now in charge and warrants exactly the same scrutiny than anyone else would in that position - Wakefield Trinity is not one man is it - only a fool would think otherwise.

i agree ted and what is past is past. We know that the past regime had flaws and we don't need to dwell on it.
