On a plus side he does ad some size to the back line - all depends what shape he's in - but not sure where the "exciting" came from.

I don't see it as a step forward would of liked to see a new name there but I'm not going to dis him when he arrives, he will be part of the team

As you say he does add something to the backline, and would probably have been viewed as a reasonable signing had it not be portrayed as something it isn't. Now it just feels like a let down.

Sure is. This is the signing that will 'excite the fans'. He will get my full support but will need to be upto speed to compete with Johnso, Griffin, Murphy and Dean. All 4 of these guys deserve to start at the moment.

Cool4Kats described the player we were talking to as a "pivotal player who can turn a game on their own". Now I could be wrong here but in no way would IMO that label ever fit Semi Tadulala

Certainly wasn't what I was expecting, oh well.

Completely underwhelmed with this news if true. I was hoping we'd moved away from signing ageing, injury prone, overseas players.

On the Wakey Express website the interview with JK says there could be two signings. I'm hoping the other one is the one that will 'excite' the fans because Semi Tadulala sure ain't going to do that.

He's 33.

If it is will be disappointed, would not call him a pivotal player. Hope we take his passport for safe-keeping and that he doesn't take care of his own fractures!

Till the end of season, adds size and is willing to graft, don't see a problem myself.

If true i hope he isn't the exciting player we were told about. It does seem like a step in the wrong direction and go against the young and British policy when we sign a 33 year old south sea islander who at his peak was probably an average SL winger.

If Greg Johnson does become unavailable in the near future then i suppose it does make sense but i do hope we have an exciting player who can turn a game lined up and not just Semi.

If the eastmond signing is true then That would be more pivotal.

No that's not right IMO. Semi was a VERY good player for us - not a prolific try scorer but a punishing returner of the ball. However that was a few years ago now.
