Would be nice for the club to share how many people have signed up for shares/donated to saving the club.
Personally I can't see 500 folk with £1k to spare in these hard economic times but it would be good to know how things stand and what the current shortfall is.

I'd say its safe to say not very close! With the wording of the letter to shareholders hardly be surprised if you got less than 10

Thats not the case, a chunk of the people who attended the meeting came forward that night, not that its enough and we won't get near 500.

I trust you'll be first in line to help if/when the club reforms after failure to raise the necessary funding.

Too many information gaps from the club and too much muddying of the waters by others. The half truths, innuendo and in some cases deliberate sabotage of the share offer has all but killed any chance of us reaching £500K, if there ever was a chance.

IMO, the best we can hope for is to raise a significant amount of money that can be used as a fighting fund if and when we know what were dealing with.

Of course they do and the first FACT that was established was that the ESCROW acct would not be in the control of the BoD. That was quickly followed up by a number of other facts such as, none of the money would be used until those that donated it had voted on how to use it, those donating could even choose to have it given back in full!

The main fact here is that without a fund, whether it’s used for shares or not, WE, THE FANS have NO WAY of stepping in any capacity whatsoever!

By not differentiating between the BoD and the those who will hold the finances within the ESCROW acct and by continually refusing to accept that the fundraising is for the benefit of the Club (Wakefield Trinity) and not the BoD the initiative has been strangled at birth and there may come a time when we regret it!

I'm more interested in the future and helping out where I can. Are you not up for that?

clan i understand what your saying but you know aswell as anyone the deep mistrust the fans have in the bod so how do you expect anyone to give. we dont know anything,they treat us like crap so stuff them imo.

No one was asked to give anything to the BoD!

The money, whatever amount, had NOTHING to do with the current BoD, if anything it would have helped seal their fate and we would have seen the back of them.

The moey would then have been used for the betterment of Wakefield Trinity going forward POST BoD!

there is nothing atall worth laughing about in any of this i see nothing that any decent supporter could take any pleasure whatsoever from. constructive critisim i can understand, offers of help i can understand, mis guided loyalties i can understand. i can even understand blind loyalty but what i can't understand is your constant aggression towards anypne that makes any sympathetic noises towards the club or suggestions of help in any way. i may be wrong but in all your posts i can't remember you suggesting any ways of getting out of this mess or offering any help in any way at all but you have a right to your opinion as boring as it is.

I've got to say I agree with mopsey 100% on this, i don't think as clan suggests, there is any sabotage here.
I think we all appreciate that the money is safe and seperate in the escrow? account.
But that doesnt clarify what exactly we are buying and the exact mechanics of it all. Perhaps Tuesday's meeting will clarify a lot of facts for a lot of people.
I still maintain 500 people coughing up £1000 is a unrealistic achievement, unless there are a few out there with considerably more to contribute, again Tuesday may bring some answers.
This whole situation is embarrassing, the main and indeed only straw I'm clinging to is that it will bring an end to the Richardson chapter, but what state the club will be in is anyones guess?

The point is if we raise some money we get the choice about what to buy without raising any money we are'nt buying anything

Ok we know they have said they will all step down, but what happens to there shares, what is the level of debt now and when hmrc want the next chunk of flesh?
Like I've said previously you don't throw money at a business without 1) seeing the books and 2) getting a solicitor to check the terms and conditions.
Add onto that you also need to speek to the sporting body's.
Two people have done that and walked away.
Ok they're not supporters and we care more, but this is like staring into a blackhole. This isn't sabotage it's sanity.
