That's not how it reads to me. quote" The first part of that is player movement outwards and the second part will be player recruitment".
He does not mention anything about a considerable number of signings only how difficult it will be to recruit because of the franchise, and as I have already said it does not seem to be a problem for other clubs. Personally I have not been in football management but I would have thought that before you got rid of a player you would have got a replacement lined up, seems that we are setting a new trend and doing things @rrrsole backwards.

I would say the opposite if money is tight.
You have to get rid before you know how much you have to spend.

| of co he is, get real. Cas have signed mathers and youngquest both very good players we would love to have signed. Salford have signed paleasena, latu, v anderson, luke pattern, wild and most importantly retained both of there half back esp holdsworth. The only teams struggling s us and harliquins. what he doesn't say is how players talk and no one of any real quality will play under him. like i have said before our biggest problem is our coaching staff and of co lack of funds.
But we will keep telling ourselves its franchise fault because it hides the obvious.

Whether they are quality or not is open to debate, but the point is they are actual signings and not rumours which at the present time that is what we are having to survive on because of the lack of imfo regarding transfers from the club, it could be that the club will pull a few trees up and surprise us with some brilliant signings but as optimistic as I am towards the club all I see is Kear getting his excuses in early according to trinfan's link.

| I disagree about the Salford not signing quality, in terms of the type of player they (and we) can sign some of their signings have been quality. I mean in respect of Vinnie Anderson what do we currently have that would compliment Morrison. Luke Patten is a far better player than Blaymire and Chris Nero would walk into our side. No wait a minute have an abundance of quality second rows and centres. To be fair following the last couple of seasons Bradford are fishing in the same pool as us but they are managing to attract players.
I may be over analysing the article too much, but didn't the god that is Kear state in the media that there would be a review of the season. Then the players who were going would be told and confirmed. Then the new signings would be confirmed as they had all been signed up for next season. Now this article talks of the difficulty he is facing and that there are only probably 3 confirmed signings for next season.
Castleford (in terms of stadium certainty (no building work started yet)) are in the same boat as we are, but they are signing players on 2 & 3 year contracts. Granted they may not be what some people would term as quality, but they are signing on long term contracts none the less.

| "There will be a couple of extensions as well and a considerable number of signings" this says to me that things are still lookig possitive to be honest. I agree tho that once we release a player we should have a replacement lined up. 7 players gone already and only 3 signings that seem to be nailed on.

If money is not available then why deplete your squad even further by buying players of a lesser quality than the ones you are releasing and then having let those players go knowing full well that you have very little money for recruitment find yourself in a position whereby you are having to take anything you can lay your hands on, perfect example Brough and Cook.

| point is players want to leave blanch and if rumours are true blaymire want out. latu gleeson could not wait to leave. lets not forget we couldn't keep wilkes snitch martin or drew when we were a top 5 team, ask yourselves why. Noble attracts players because of his reputation as will potter at bradford therefore you can manage with a less money. but when you coaching staff has the a bad rep then you need big money which we clearly dont have.

Because of all the rumours flying about with regards to recruitment, I am not sure who these 3 signings are that are [useemed[/u to be nailed on, but if they were there then you would think that the club would have the decency to let us know who they are on the basis that they expect us to part with our money for ST as we are playing an important part in financing the club, but yet it seems they are not concerned whether we know who the new signings are assuming of course there are some which was the original reason for the thread.

a lot of that is just not right. damien has gone for better brass and we have got plenty of cover for his spot. he was happy enough when i last spoke to him. matty gets on well with jk which i think is well known. the only thing that probrably bothers him is being constantly bagged by some so called fans of young british players. as for latu and gleeson they were never offered contracts. think we all know about tevita and i can tell you first hand sean was ok with wakey when he left. wilkes was offered more money and has never really stayed with any club long. martin was offered more money by cas who then backed out and left him high and dry. drew wasn't offered a contract, deemed to be too old and surplus to requirements. jk was proved right when hudds only got an handfull of games out of him. snitch moved for brass and as far as noble is concerned its nothing to do with his rep its to do with brass. when he was at bradford , they were big spenders. their brass went and so did nobby. to wigan another big spender.now he his at crusaders who didn't have a team till the rfl threw buckets of money at them and if i am right i think he is on a rolling contract ready to move on to the next team with brass. if you want to have a go at the coaching team then do it , don't do it through the players.

| It was only two weeks ago we were all posting who we wanted to leave.
Blanche Gleeson and Blaymire came hi on the list (still behind Cooke obviously)
Now that has happened, we are saying they are leaving because of Kear.
Let's just have one conspiracy theory at a time please.

| Ok its because you wated them to leave. blaymire and blanch had a year left on their contracts, but wanted out. from last season look at the players who have left or we couldn't retain and then tell me there is no issue with kear. Its so obvious but we want to blame eveyone or everything else.

Bang on, I for one will not buy a ST until I know what I'm going to get for my money.
Gone are the days of blindly buying my ticket after last season.

I wish people would realise the damage they are doing to the club by NOT buying a season ticket. I appreciate that times are hard (I changed job and lost about 25% of my salary this year - not by choice I might add), but the club can get out of the current hole, or could certainly be helped along the way, if people bought their ST's.
All I would say is that failure to buy ST's, could cause the club more of the very trouble we are concerned about right now. If you don't want to help the club,
fair enough, but please think twice about criticising something that you are not prepared to assist with, unless it suits.

| I'm getting mine Saturday.
I dont blame people for not bothering at the moment though, I just know I will want to go to every home game next year, regardless of who pulls on the shirt.
Hopefully they will put the effort in. Thats all I ask!

Wonderful quote, So Richie Mathers isn't a quality player ? Alright then, I arent saying he is a world beater but he is a quality signing.
And as much as i wouldnt have wanted Cas to have signed many of the players Salford have, They are quality. Luke Pattern is a class player.
Maybe your holding out for Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk ?
Maybe its a fact Wakey are in the brown sticky stuff money wise, And the players you are offering contracts to, Arent happy with the peanuts they are been offered. One of these, Is Nick Fozzard, Who seems to have chose us as we offered a far more suitable deal.

I can see the reasons why people are hesitant, but if your a 'life long supporter', then you should be supporting the club when it needs it.
Option A - buy a S/T - your money goes in to the club, goes towards the club sorting HMRC and other creditors - allowing it to trade in some kind of normality.
Option B - Don't buy a S/T - the club fail to satisfy HMRC and the bank manager, we go into administration and we immediately forfeit our S/L licence. Bang goes the bright future in the new stadium.
I know the above is over simplistic (not that much), but how would a 'life long supporter' feel if they had played their part in Option B?

I've lost 100% of my income this year so all my expenditure has to be value for money. Sorry but Wakefield Trinity do not supply that at the minute so I won't be getting a season ticket for the first time in a long time, despite my user name. And quite frankly with the mess the club is in and the, lets be honest, awful recruitment that is rumoured, I don't blame anyone for not renewing until some positive signs are seen.
