| Whilst i empathise with the feelings that many of you have at the minute you need to get a grip.
You are entering potentially the biggest period of time in your clubs history. There are 3 more games to go if you win two of those there is still the chance of the playoffs. that is a target worth working for.
the enxt target is that you can still finish above Cas ( even if you do not get into the . That is a target worth working for.
If you finish above Cas at least you make it harder for the RFL to kick you out. That is a target worth working for.
Yes the club is on the edge of a precipice but if you the fans give up now what chance is there of the players or the club picking it up.
As fans you are powerless except to give your support and money.
3 games left which may be the difference between maintining the status quo and giving yourself some hope for the future or not.
Get out there and support your team.

| Whilst I agree with a lot of what you say DG ... you havent just witnessed 3 spineless, pathetic performances from your team have you?
We do need to win all 3 remaining games to have a prayer of getting in the top 8 and after the previous 3
performances - we have no chance !!!
WTWRLFC have had my support and money throughout the season, and its not been value for money (apart from the first quarter)
If I see a decent performance against Warrington a week on Sunday (regardless of the result) I shall go to
Odsal and the Willows and see out the remainder of the season.
If I don't that will be it for the season.
Back to you Trinity, lets hope the rest does you good !!!!

| While this thread began with a fair point well made. If every Trinity supporter in the whole world turned up to the remaining 3 games it wouldn't make a difference right now. The 17 on the pitch make the result happen and to be fair I don't see how they can at this moment in time.

| I like your optimism but based on the performances I've witnessed at the back end of this season (and a few mid-season!), there is nothing to make me believe that it's going to be a successful end to the season. I can't see us picking up another league point the way we're going. There's nobody who can turn it around as far as I can see. We're missing a 7 and pretty much any attacking ideas.
As I've already posted in another thread. This is how I see our season ending...
Warrington Home - We usually do well at home to Warrington. A very different proposition this season though. 0 points.
Bradford Away - Currently on a run of 11 straight defeats. Their last win was amazingly against us on the 14th of May. Expect them to get their next win against us on the 22nd of August. 0 points.
Salford Away - They will already be targeting this as a winnable game and who could blame them? Think Salford will be up for ending their season on a high. 0 points.

| You are very probably right KSC but we should really be looking at Bradford and Salford as two teams in the same boat as we are. Might not be entertaining to watch but we should be looking to win.

It's just a classic dumb Wakefield scenario. Bradford haven't won a game since the 14th of May when they beat us at Belle Vue. It would be typical for them to get their next win against us on the 22nd of August at Odsal!

| It's not that we're being beaten or thumped every week. It's the manner in which we're being beaten. We're rolling over and lack any backbone. I don't mind losing 58-6 every week so long as i see pride, passion and enthusiasm and that we're moving in the right direction.
But there is no commitment, no progression and no pride. There are a few exceptions to this but i expect better regardless of the scoreline. And i expect from them as individuals to have more pride and courage then they're are showing. This is what they love doing, their career, something they have passion for, where is it???
We've all seen poor seasons, but even then the commitment was never in doubt. I expect better

No all will not be well in the camp and wont be now I imagine until next season. Whether that is with a new coach, new players or both. My point was that trying to be clever with the 'he kept us up in 1847/1925' does your argument no favours as it does not represent what the majority of people, if any, are saying.

I disagree, a hell of a lot of people seem to want him here for fear of losing a lot of money paying him off amongst other things I've "laboured." They further that under the secured construction of a ground we will see a revitalised side. Sorry but what-ifs don't secure success.
It's SL playoff competitiveness we need not a one game fix like a semi final or £1m relegation decider.
All the great things Kear (who is a cracking bloke, don't get me wrong) has done will not help us now, let alone a shell of a coach... I'm sick of just making do with Wakefield Trin related peers saying put up with it, Wakefield is a largely populated area and everyone with interest should be screaming from the rooftops that they want a serious assualt on sporting success.
I can see a new coach syndrome buying us 3 wins from 3 and a new Coach in the off season will see far better preperation than JK chopping and changing then getting sacked after 5 straight defeats.

We aspire to regular play off rugby and Kear is the one who has brought us closest to that. Which other teams on our budget are playing regular play off rugby? I'm not saying any of this justifies keeping Kear indefinitely but it does highlight that it's not that easy a job getting Wakey into the play offs. I would rather give Kear the chance to replace Brough and see how we go at the start of next season than replace him with yet another cheap option and end up 11th or 12th.

unfortunately Lupset, this is the problem. We may be a pretty big city but you still see Rhinos and Bulls stickers on the cars. If they don't come to watch us, we are in reality a small town club.

Thats my view at the present time, but i feel we are out numbered by the Kear out brigade.
Its a BIG gamble either way but i would like to see him assemble a squad and be judged on that rather than this farce of a season with the loss of key players.
If i'm wrong and it goes belly up then i'll support them at any level in any division, these (fans) who are bailing out now (and thats there choice and i respect that ) will do more harm than good.
