Hooray - who wants to trail to Belle Vue for tickets and stuff every time.

Massive move for the club, but I suppose we had to support the club from not having one there all this time. Does it mean the store at Belle Vue is closed for now though and it will only be sat/sun that one can purchase items?

The problem is, is it financially viable to have the two open together. The ideal thing imo is to have the Ridings open all week and The shop at Belle Vue to be open on match days to catch the match day crowd.

It's probably me being thick, but I think the article gives the impression that it is this weekend only. Hope I'm wrong & it is a permenant move!

I am sure that the club have not spent mega ££££ for it when they have a good sized store (not shop) just out of town.

Plans for the new Stadium complex on show too. Thats what we need to be doing letting the general public view how good the development is.

Selfishly Belle Vue is a lot closer and easier for me to access than town so it would be nice if it was still open at BV. Maybe perhaps for one day, Monday, my day off. The drunk who collects glasses for free at Henry Boons told me Ted reads these boards so sort it! Seriously though I'm sure it's nothing a fone call can't sort out.

I despair of some people

They should have put "for this weekend only!" People are going to be wandering into town during the next few weeks (inc me) disappointed & coming on here slagging Ted off! TRB's going to have work overtime. I dunno they put us through the mill, proper rollercoaster you just don't know what team or shop will turn up!

TBH though I took it as precinct special this week only and a shop taking residence in the ridings which opens just on weekends starting Saturday.

Did anybody go to the store? we went, they invested in a big sign outside (just for the weekend???) and it was pretty busy. They had the new RL game on the wii for kids to have a go on (great idea) along with Aaron Murphy and another player (not sure who) sat on the floor talking which looked a bit silly but they would have talked to people if anybody wanted to and signed autographs. The shop is in a prime location near the lift on the top floor, finances obviously permitting but if it could be there all the time it would be a great thing for the club..Well done to those who thought of the idea and made it happen.

Sounds like it went well but we really need a full time shop and i doubt the demand is there for it, at least they are trying to improve and raise the profile.

A City Centre presence is something I've wanted to see for a long time (I’ve whinged about it long enough on here!) so I’m glad that the club have utilised this avenue to boost the profile and hopefully the gate this Friday.

I hope the whole weekend proved financially viable and that more ‘events’ are scheduled for the remaining home matches of the season.
