Well a few Barrow Raiders fans seemed very confident that Danny Brough would be joining them next season after something he mentioned when Jamie Rooney signed for the club, Apparently Jamie Rooney is only on a £30k Contract too.

Surely you could have come up with something better?

Nah Brough would not go all the way to Barrow for £30k a week, Rooney was only on £20k a week at Wakey so it was a good move for him really. Choose who he plays for it wont be the Whinos' he might as well stop here for more money

cant see him going to saints at all, his missus thinks shes to far away from Hull already and its only wakefield! hes been at our gaff afew times during preseason and friendlies but i wouldnt read much into that.

its well known Brough supports the east side of Hull, and is mates with judas Cooke.

If we let Brough go at the end of the season for free when he is out of contract rather than selling him before this season/soon ish then we are giving money away.

If we let him go now as I understand it we'd only get compensated until his contract runs out in november,not a lot to lose!

DB has stalled on a new contract for some time now.

Bizarre.

The difference is that Atkins had a lot longer left on his contract than DB. Unless there was a ready made replacement lined up we would be foolish to let Brough leave before the end of the season. He is one of the best Scrum Halves in the league and average league position is still likely to be worth a point in the franchise application.
