| As the title says, it's time to bring out your best memories of games against Cas.
The article will be put together on Sunday, so I have left it late this time!
There are so many to go for here that I won't even begin to tease them out.
Please remember that the stories can be on or off the pitch and personal memories can often be the best ones.
Many thanks as always.

| i know for many survival Saturday will be the major memory but for me its got to be the infamous Ronnie "RAMBO" Gibbs match that was shown on scrum down many moon ago. It was back in the time when victories against our local rivals were as rare as hens teeth and to my knowledge was the first time i witnessed a victory against cas. No body realised the true extent of Gibbs injury apart from the fact that Phil Edens knee was bruised and Ronnie was falling about like Mr Blobby on the westgate run. The truth was that RAMBO had played with concussion for a staggering 15-20 minutes which really does emphasize how different the game was even just 25 years ago . Recall the poor sod being interviewed at half time being posed the question "will you be back in 2nd half Ronnie?" "Dunno up to boss" was the slurred reply. Hard as nails.

| First game in SL back in 1999 (also my first live match) always sticks in my mind. Travelled over on the bus and from Normanton onwards I was sat with teenage Cas fans singing the obligatory ‘We all hate Wakey, SCUM!’ and ‘If I had the wings of a sparrow…’ all the way to Castleford Bus station. After those delights I walked to the Jungle to meet two of my overconfident Cas fan friends who thought is would be a walkover, reminding me the last time they played it was 80-0.
My memory is sketchy but the performance they put in that day really shut my mates up. Wille Poching opened the scoring before Cas came back into it. It was a pretty even game but I’ll never forget the look of my mates faces as I think it was Kevin Crowthers who dived in to put Trinity into the lead again midway through the second half.
They were bricking it, especially when Dean Sampson got sent of for flattening Gary Price. Unfortunately they couldn’t hold out and two penalties in the last few minutes saw Cas win. Gutted but it boded well for the forth coming season.

Last pen, offside from a charge down to stop the one pointer and bang in front of the posts, can't remember the player though.

That was after Poching had taken Danny Orr out late. I believe it was Karl Kirkpatrick who was the referee that day.

I remember Sampson flattening Poching, but I thought that was in another match.

| I’ve found the match’s reports.
Sampson was sent off in 1999 for his hit on Price again in 2000 for his hit on Poching.

Does anyone remember the game at Wakey when Marchy went over to shake his after after the whistle and Sampson threw on at him.
I think we won by a drop goal that day.

Doesn't have to be the last time - any time of your choosing, although I do have sympathy that you need to go back a while if you missed last year!

| The relegation decider. Castleford directors were in the next box and when they went 10-0 up they were getting rather excited and we were a little down. But of course it all changed and it was us that were excited and they who were brassed off. The boot could have been so easily on the other foot. Thank God it was only Kear.

| I don't recall too many derbies that have truly mattered outside WMDC so the CC semi of 1969 and the relegation settlers of 2004, 2006 spring immediately to mind. Funnily enough I remember most about the earliest

| 42 - 10 Cas away 2004. Very enjoyable game, healthy Wakey support and we 'invaded' the covered end in the 2nd half. Biggest away win at Cas since the early 60's. Remember seeing Steadman on the big screen in the second half looking rather ill.
To be fair Cas were very poor that day, we just did the basics correctly.
Probably my favourite SL game of all time ... so far.

| Ive got 3 great memories of beating Cas. Obviously the survival match and the Millenium Magic weekend but my favourite is the 18 - 0 at the Jungle!
Kears first game in charge, Monty Beetham sent off in the first half for knocking ten bells out of McGoldrick and EVERY Wakey fan urging Tommy Saxton to put the bloody ball down and stop waving it about! Priceless

| Remember the night that Sampson had gone into Wakefield after a game looking for a showdown with Pricey... Soon changed his mind when he saw Fish.
