Yes the Huddersfield giants only managed 800 more fans than Wakefield for the same home fixture. If only wakefield were in the Giants position financially and positionally surely we can do better.?! I know I'm making comparisons but if only we had the product on the field akin to them we would do miles better.!!

We would do a lot better than them if we had the side they've had for the last few years. Often said if we'd had the success St Helens have had we'd get better crowds than them. Look at SL and I don't think there is a team that has not won any top level trophy over a longer period of time than us, so imagine our crowds with a competitive team in a decent stadium.

I totally agree if only we had the product to watch. I know we have the potential to be a much bigger team I just hope we can push on after this seasons survival and aspire to achieve the top elite 8 teams.

it wasnt the best crowd for a home game,our lot prefer sunday afternoon games but saying that, the crowd would only have been maybe 5500 on the sunday

Big spending Salford are getting much less.

Never mind the team on the pitch, having a stadium with modern facilities providing a better match day experience would also greatly improve the crowd figures in my opinion.

Sorry Jack but people dont go to sporting events because its a "nice stadium", they go to watch the product, and if the product on the pitch isnt very good, they stay away.

a lot of our fans though would prefer a stadium like wire. smaller and with standing area where fans can congregate together...a big stadium isnt good when empty and full of seats. ask rabbitihs fans at homebush where sometimes less than 10,000 watch a game in a stadium that holds 85.000, rl grounds need atmosphere rather than loads of seats

We'll differ then shall we , I know whats on the pitch is the main thing that brings us blokes into the ground. But women,kids and families also appreciate good facilities whilst there. There's also the away fans, many don't bother with belle vue because they see it as the shytole it is.

True that jack. I go for the game but don't really enjoy wading in if I need the bog. The sooner this upgrade starts the better

I'm sure the toilets' are clean before the fans' use them, so in your opinion how do they finish up in the state they are in after the game?.

By people not treating them like they would at home? Or maybe they do and some people live in holes? The point being the facilities will not help one iota in getting new people to the game to make a return visit. It costs money, but an attendant to keep each bank of toilets clean would be good.

Spot on Chissitt, if people are gonna pee on the floor in public toilets they will do it regardless. and as for having an attendant, of course thats gonna happen.

Not sure that's strictly true. The toilets in cats bar are not filthy like the bogs on the terracing. Both can be used by the same people. I just think it's a mentality that if int inside and can be cleaned people treat it better than ing in a painted concrete gutter from Victorian times.

If you go towards the flats', you will see a toilet block on your right big enough to have a game of 5 a side in, imo those toilets are as good as anything in SL, if you go the other way just before you get to the steps' where they sell food, you will find more toilets, admittedly these are not the size of those at the other end but are just as good and well serviced. On the odd occasion I have been in there has been toilet rolls thrown into the pots' for what purpose I don't know, what I do know is that they are put in there by cretins' masquerading as rugby fans, could that be the fault of the club or is it the so called fans' taking out their frustration out on something that is there simply for there benefit, you cannot help people that won't help themselves, and for the life of me I cannot understand anybody making excuses' for this poor behaviour whether the toilets have concrete gutters' or gold taps.

Who's making excuses. Retards like that need a kick in the as far as I'm concerned. The toilets by the north stand didn't gave a bulb for 2 years and there was a settee in one lot of toilets earlier in the year. So unless I'm going to walk to the opposite end of the ground I'm not going to know about them toilets am I? I shouldn't have to do an inspection off all the lavs incase I need to go. They should all be to a good standard, it's 2014 for gods sake. The facts are that the ground is decrepit and needs a huge overhaul which is why new market came along and why the ground upgrades were announced. This was the point I'm making.

Like most Giants fans I would like bigger support.

That said I appreciate plenty of stadium parking, a decent seat under cover and an unrestricted view.

Most of all I am not a rugby fan that gets off on attendance numbers..I prefer watching the game.

For me its about watching rugby that has got us into the play offs every year of the licence period / Seeing my team in 2 CC finals recently (albeit losing there) / watching 2 Man of Steels in last 5 years / 5 players in dream team in 2013 (three who had SL debuts with the Giants)and the 2013 LL Shield (some denigrate the LLS - not me).

I don't have an idea what the gates were for the games I went to, nor do I care. I will remember the rugby!

Would expect you to get better gates if you build a consistent top end team....you just have to build that team.

Said the same thing to someone on the way out, biggest 4000 I've ever seen. Both sides were pretty full, and there wasn't a lot of room behind the sticks either.

I thought that 4k was generous on what I could see
