| Not happy that Ryan Hampshire has not committed long term to Wakefield.
The Miller and Brough pairing has failed but we have persisted with it.
Hampshire has many years left to play whereas Brough clearly has not. It would be stupid to sacrifice the young for the old now.
At the same time I also feel for Max Jowett who has given everything for Wakefield but does not seem to be in favour with Chester.
For what it's worth my view is that Jowett at full back and Hampshire at half back are must for the remainder of the season.
Let the underperforming Brough and Miller fight out the other half back role.

I was annoyed when we signed Brough because I knew something like this would happen where sacrifice either Hampshire or Jowitt. Might end up both if it’s true about that Walker from London.

| TT - you've obviously not seen us play recently !!
Have to agree with the OP in regard to selection of both RH & MJ. I'm also minded to give Woody a go in the halves ... at least for the games leading up to the Hull fixture.

Jowitt is the better FB imho especially in attack where he creates far more, but all the same, Hampshire has made a chuffing good fist of it! I prefer Hampshire at HB tbh, however, he has one flaw in his game, he needs to learn that when playing at HB he doesn't have to attempt to win the game with every move in every set. Anyone can see that as an individual he's a fast skilful player but to me, he's yet to become a true provider.
Whether he'd still be better at it than the current incumbents is totally subjective but I didn't think we looked any worse with him and Reynolds at 6 and 7 than we do now and there is definitely more future potential in that line-up.
Just my opinion.

| I don't think Hampshire has let us down at FB but I have always thought that Jowitt is the better FB. As a Hampshire fan I would also like to see him in the halves BUT at Stand Off. I think Milky needs a rest and fresh start because his form has dipped this season.

| I really want Brough and Miller to hit form but it's just not quite there yet.
It's a tough call whether to give them game time to get it back or ditch and try something new.

We need wins and I think Miller is overshadowed by Brough and Brough isn’t playing well. I would put Hampshire in the halves and drop Brough. Hopefully, that would then allow Miller to take more responsibility and try and find some form

If Brough is carrying a knock, then I would put Rocky at 7, with Max at full back and Brough on the bench ???

I am not in the know regarding contract terms offered to players (Other than the fact RH has been offered a 3 year deal) but what I do know is that I trust the people running the club to get things right in that department. MC seems to think that they have offered a fair contract and that his management have mulled over it.
I remember when he signed for this year, and in the press release he said, I have only signed a one-year deal again, I want to chase those big contracts which is fair enough, you cannot blame the lad. But you also can not blame the club for not paying over what they think he is worth. Sometimes you just cannot come to an agreement in these situations.

Nah, Hampshire has played HB all his life, Jowitt rarely, can't see any logic in switching them around at all tbh.

We bought a big pack of forwards and don’t play a forward game. This pack should not be getting dominated by anyone we need to take control run hard and straight one after another, in tandem and find us some decent field position. We go sideways before forwards and it’s been going on weeks, remember the Leeds win at home 62 minutes to get in their 20.
Brough who as been a good player is not going to make breaks maybe once a flood his legs have gone so play to his limitations and get him in to an area where he can be crafty and use his kicks.
Rocky needs putting in space cause if he goes they will not catch him at the moment he’s taking ball from the halves who are running sideways and not engaging defenders.
Miller has plain and simple stopped taking the line on, we get go forward we’ve pace and power to trouble teams. It’s a simple game and we make it look hard, same play over and over again it’s simply boring and been worked out.
Clean breaks miller 5, Brough nil rocky 12 quite simple they’re playing off scraps

Agree with the forwards comment, another point is it is so frustrating seeing our wingers and centres taking the first 2 or 3 drives in a set, every set, especially when we are struggling to make yards. I get that they do it to give the forwards a rest, but they do it every set! The forwards aren`t even doing any work! Seems to have become a trend in Super League in the last 5 years, anyone who has watched the NRL over the last 10 years can see where some of the coaches took it from... Yet they use it wisely and when it is needed. How many times are we going to decide when we are pinned on our our try line, getting pushed back by 3 or 4 players that is a good idea to give MCB or BJB the ball? Get Koppy on it, he doesn't take a backwards step.

Hampshire's problem is that he is here to play at half back and he has been unable to dislodge Danny Brough who, this season, has served up the worst rugby of his life. If Hampshire wants a big contract then he has to show himself as being capable of dislodging Brough and forcing Chester's hand. He's had plenty of chances.
