As a regular visitor to the board and life long fan I feel compelled to write my first post and make my feelings clear, jog the memories of others and hopefully make those in charge listen.

Chris Chester should not be allowed anywhere near to the club that I love and the same club that Chester has in the past gone out of his way to show his puerile hatred of...verbally abusing fans, over the top celebrations and public slagging of us - all of this from a former Stanley Rangers player.

Please don't let this happen!

We're all willing to give Agar a fresh go at it but Chris Chester should not be anywhere near our coaching set up.

He used to live near Sowood I believe, saw him walking his dogs in the area numerous times.

he stood on the terraces as a kid week in week out. to judge him by his behaviour when he was a young immature man or in a highly charged emotional atmosphere of games is daft. i tend to think once a trinity always a trinity fan, so i suspect it would be his dream job.

there's always more to it, suspect we never gave him anything other than insulting offers when halifax signed him. that was the wakey way for the last three decades with kids.

He wasn't that young or immature at the time of his 'gestures'.

I think he would be the ideal candidate to have at wakey to take all the verbal pressure off Richard Agar

He was at wakey friday night but I don't think he will be staying.

Chester would be a nightmare. He is only interested in hanging around the first team players. He has no interest in developing our youth players and it would destroy some great work done to date by our youth set up. The selection of the under 20`s coach should have nothing to do with the first team coach. Tony Dury our head of youth should select the man for the job, glover, Elston and Agar should keep well away. Chester would upset the apple cart. Plus lets not forget how disrespectful he has been over the years to our great club.

Ive no issues with Chester and Ive known him in some capacity since been at school as we were in the same year but in opposite schools (Ossett vs Kettlethorpe / Sandal). I thought he was a bit of a big head in the younger years but maybe that was my false judgement and a little bit of jealousy as he was very good at every sport he competed in.

Ive spoken to him a few times since we left school and to be honest he was very approachable and always happy for a chat. I dont see any issues with him taking the number 2 spot, however I doubt it would actually happen.

Doesnt he currently fill one of the coaching roles at Eastmoor or something ?
