He has had more good games than bad. His backing up and ability to sniff out tries is what we need and he can kick goals blindfolded.

Wakefield cannot off load him, because nobody wants him, and that apparently includes us, and that stems back to last season.

The guy will be away on a free anyway at the end of the season and I see some sense in not letting him go to Bradford on a free to probably face us in the 8s. However if a replacement could be found and we don't rate him what's the problem. He could however go to bradford and have a stormer against us. The new coach may have a big say in J s future. It will be interesting me thinks. If he gets a game and plays well it's a matter off what could have been. One things for sure the half back combo ain't working.

So he isn't rated by Wakefield but he's a threat come the middle 8's if he joins Bradford? I'm not sure I get the logic and I'd have thought freeing up his wage completely would allow Wakefield to bring somebody in they might actually play.

JS has occasional moments to turn games and make a difference. He also has a lot of times where he's not made good decisions or executed very poorly.

Whilst the whole team was awful that day I think considering how badly he played against Warrington may have ruled him out of ever playing again for us.

Think the question has to be.
Did we buy Sammut off Bradford 'cos we could to weaken their survival last year?
Would cost a lot less to buy him and not play him than have him play against us and possibly relegate us?
After the 'don't play me against Bradford' rumours, could he be trusted to play honestly for Wakefield?

I have no idea why sammut does not get picked but it is certainly nothing to do with his performances.

The way McShane put him self about yesterday didn't look like a man wanting to leave and hope he stays,Sammut I can live with.

Could be Godinet, I've heard for a while now that he's unhappy at his game time and not playing half back. He's linked with Warrington and HKR but needs to recover from a recurrent neck injury as well.

Craig Hall is on record somewhere as saying he never wanted to leave HKR, it was Craig Sandercock that he didn't get on with and just days after signing with us Sandercock was sacked, both HKR and Hall tried to renague on the deal.

Sammut looked happy sat with the stadium announcer yesterday helping with the music. Maybe he ain't got the hunger for it.

He should be given a shot at scrum half. There is nothing to lose at this stage is there ?. He certainly lifts the tempo when he comes on.
