| Alright lads. Chemics fan in peace here.
As opposed to just coming for the game on Sunday, a small group of us have decided to do an overnighter. So Saturday night, we'll be hitting town. Now it's probably best to turn up, and see how it goes and were we end up etc. But thought I'd try and attain some local knowledge as to were's hot/not etc.
Not that fussed on music, but probably trying to avoid places that you have to pay in, and anywhere full of beauts looking for a scrap! And obviously an abundance of west Yorkshire talent etc
Over to you

| Should be spoilt for choice at the top of Westgate. You can't miss it, it is where all the crowds go. Lots of choice so explore which venues you like.
If you have plenty of time start at The Wagon & Horses then pub crawl your way up Westgate into town. Once you've gone up the hill/slight incline just past the Theatre you'll be in the heart of it.

Cheers la. Yeah we have booked into that Travel Lodge in the centre. So good for train/pubs I guess. Will bare in mind. We'll be trying to find somewhere to watch the football on Sunday too! I am looking forward to it.

| Hey up mate,I'm an oldie so don't bother with town these days. So here goes for a bit of info, travelodge just off city centre, literally four or five min walk to nightlife, you've got Weatherspoons three doors round the corner from you.
The Westgate run is a run of around 8 drinking pubs where you only have to walk twenty yards before you hit another,if you set off at the beginning which is the Westgate redoubt around 6pm you'll be hitting Westgate which is the flashing lights bit around nine o'clock, ready for clubs.
Keep your head down and walk away from knobs and you'll be fine.
Can't help with the football as we live around 4 miles away but just take note as you walk round and someone will advertise it,thing there's a sports bar at the traffic lights. Enjoy but hop you go home miserable after the game!!!

That would be my call.
Good music, no idiots, can drink outside if you wish.
Think the totty is ok but being a married man I'm not sure I know any more.
Anywhere on Westgate you'll find young scantily clad females. Quality is your call.

| The Hop is the place to be - Wakefield's young totty likes nothing more than an old geezer nursing a pint of real ale.
Failing that, nip across to Wildcats afterwards to vent your pent-up frustrations; nothing to do with the RL team, but gives you at least a fighting chance when trying to explain away a receipt for a bottle of champagne to your Mrs.
At least that's what's a friend told me.

| Good Night out.. Westgate Run is an expierence and I'd make a step off at The Hop, also go down cobbled streets then head to Mex / Stereo (different bars which are good) and there's also Fanny & Bacardi's which you wont expierence anywhere else lol
Two clubs basically Havanna (Next to Mex/Stereo) then Buzz... which is near to HD Bar which has pool tables / table football too.
HD Sports Bar is also the place to go for footy on Sunday opens at 12:00 serves beer / food right in centre about 30+ HD screens.

| Don't really venture onto Westgate much these days. Our night out usually consists of plenty of chatting, walking, real ale, continental beers, a bit of live music and the odd ogle.
So...
Working on a 7pm start with a drink in each.
1. The Red Shed - Labour club, bit of an experience, great real ale and it's cheap.
2. Fernandes Brewery Tap & Bier Keller - Real ale and oldies upstairs, continental and young uns downstairs.
3. Bull & Fairhouse - Real ale and live music.
4. The Priory - MILFs
4. Elliotts - Continental beer, al fresco drinking with loads of talent to look at along the cobbled street. Soul and motown DJ every other Saturday.
5. Inns of Court - Lively boozer with pool, darts and a great jukebox. A bit like the pub on Star Wars!
6. Harry's Bar - Great real ale, great bar. Always end up chatting with regulars or randoms, it's a bit like Cheers!
7. The Hop - Real ale, live music, al fresco drinking with some great talent knocking about.
At this stage it usually goes 1 of 4 ways. There's Fanny & Bacardi's show/drag bar, Elephant & Castle which could hold anything for the end of the night, Graziers which is open until about 7am, or fodder at the legendary Pie Shop, usually between 6 and 10 pies and hot meals with all the trimmings for less than a fiver!
