At the risk of getting very carried away after todays magnificent win, is it actually possible to make the top 8 ?
Hull FC, Hull KR and Widnes would need to be caught and all 3 have to come to Belle Vue.
Widnes will also be distracted by their cup semi final against Cas so IMO, it's game on !

Lets try and encourage the stay away's to come on down to Belle Vue and get the place rocking.

The atmosphere was great today and with a low crowd, just think what it would be like with a capacity crowd.

Today should hopefully help to attract more to the Hull game.
People have obviously voted with their feet in answer to a string of abysmal performances, I'm sure they will come back with a couple more performances like todays.
I honestly thought there looked more than 4000 there today but if that's how the figures added up then so be it, so in that event it was a total embarrassment to the club; but there again Wakefield have always been blessed with supporters who want success but aren't prepared to play their part in getting it .

I'm enjoying the win today (obviously, it doesn't happen often) but I'm waiting until top 12 is guaranteed before even thinking about the top 8

not sure how you mean total embarrassment to the club if the was an embarrassment its with the supporters that didn't turn up today as they had given up as Wigan was the opponents, while I still hold a season ticket I will still go to every home game come what may good with the very bad performances, I only wish I went to the Hull away game to see that win

Watched Hull against Les cats yesterday and their forwards got on top of les Cats. They also had Houghton missing.
I fear they will be too big and strong for us upfront so I don't see a win next week.

I'd also add MCs message earlier in the season.
4,000 paying full price is better than 8,000 when most are on freebies.

Who in all honesty could see that coming today yes they are under strength but have been for a couple of games and put some big scores up.Can we beat Hull well we did away so no reason why not.Can we make the 8 no it aint going to happen we have lost to much ground for that to happen.

Can we survive? Barring any last minute reprieve for Bradford, it certainly appears so; the highest aspiration we should have is to finish the season with some momentum, hang on to the spine of the team for next year, and for once have a proper off-season, instead of a total rebuild.

We are only 5 points off 8th and IF (and I know it's a BIG IF), we beat the 3 clubs that are just above us, at home, then it is possible.
I know that the euphoria of beating the Mighty Wigan will subside but, it is possible, albeit unlikely.
Widnes are on the slide and both Hull clubs are inconsistent.
Without being reckless, we should aim for the highest possible finish.

Want to finish with enough points to make Bradfords points deduction irrelevant. Dont want to hear every week that we only stayed up because Bradford had a points deduction. Would also like 1 or 2 extra teams between us and Bradford.

I have been attending BV 44 yrs. No way were there only 4079 there today. The puzzled silence followed by quiet laughter said it all. 5000 to 5500 at least. Don't know what is going on but I would bet my house there were NOT 4000 in BV today

TOTALLY. NO half back can play easily behind a beaten pack but Tim Smith, who needs a little space and momentum to weave his passing stuff probably looks so rubbish sometimes when he is playing with a beaten pack. Today every one of them had a good game and won the battle in the middle. Great performance. What a relief to see Trinity still can play Rugby League

Hear hear...This High Court thing really is getting my goat now. This kind of thing should not hang over a competition; its a farce but the best way to deal with it is make it irrelevant. I think Bradford are highly unwise to go down this route. There is every chance that we will get 3 more wins and quite a chance we will get a couple more. Even with all 6 back that leaves them needing 11 - 15 points with points diff accounted for, from an available 20..can they really think that is on the way they are playing? I think the words...let it go spring to mind

I think in previous seasons an 8th place finish needs 24-26 points so that would take another 6 wins but its a strange season this year so owt could happen

When people have been used to inflated crowds in the past couple of years naturally when they see the stands this season and equate it to a past figure they will laugh. With the differentiation in crowds from this to the last couple of seasons but seeing similar amounts of faces in the ground evokes a question. The question is which crowds/regime do you trust the most? I don't believe we have got on a sound financial footing this season without being honest. There is no reason for Michael or the board to lie.

Capacity crowds are when people are shoulder to shoulder with the same room either side as when seated. When people spread out it looks fuller than what it is! Believe me the board wish they were announcing 6-7k crowds!!

I don't think we can. I'd just like to see the same effort and determination like we saw yesterday in every game until the end of the season now.

Agreed Willzay, that's all I ask, 100% effort against everyone we play. The results, like yesterday, will then take care of themselves. People are happy again around Wakefield, plenty of shirts on display and lookiing forwards, not backwards and up not down, good stuff.

It's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility Lurcher, but I feel we've left it too late. If Agar had gone a few game earlier maybe.
