Same for me or appear very large when I try drag them into place. It’s ridiculous to be honest. 

When you drag them in, you have to then put your curser next to it and click your mouse or press return and then appears as a normal emoji.

I use the return button on the keyboard on my phone....

You really don't use your return button for the mouse.  I couldn't quote your post to reply to as the editor fills up and the scroll doesn't work. RIP RLFans
