| Just to clarify a few things.
NM was actually a last ditch thing that Ted cobbled up, and to be fair he had very little option.
The original scheme was to have been Thornes Park. Forgetting the fact that it turned out that the Council didn’t own the land, i personally think that one would have been a total winner. In many ways Thornes is better placed than BV.
I was a fan of Thornes. I was not keen on NM. Ted was, but the SWAG group was split. Not bitterly, just in preference. I don’t know if NM would have worked, nobody does, but for me it was to far out. Had it been in Stanley proper then yeah it would have been ok. But it was effectively in the middle of nowhere.
In the intervening 20 years Salfords experience has proved that to be a bad thing, but at the time it was nowhere near as obvious as it is today. That said, HKR ground was once considered a white elephant, but it’s doing ok now.
Truth is that on field success is a huge part of the success of any stadium.

| [quote="Trojan Horse":rv133jhg]Had a Quick Look yesterday and looks like the 2024 team banner is still up covering west. Hopefully this gets sorted in time for SL starting. Be better to remove it than have an outdated team on it.
I’m sure it will be swapped over.[/quote:rv133jhg]
At the supporters night I think they said it would remain until the terrace gets planning permission and and developed.

Judge your current status based on the things that irk you. We used to worry about the elephants. Now we just worry about the mice. I'll take that.

| I wouldn't take it down. Hides a very bad view.
Changing the photos I'm sure would be better though.

https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/onlin ... JYGQQJOD00
looking at the planning portal for the west stand roofing etc ... there are some interesting dates shown... including a determination date of 15th Jan... which(I think) means a decision should have been made and we are waiting for formal approval/declination to be announced/ ratified

Had a Quick Look for meaning.
A determination date on a planning application is the date by which a local authority will decide whether to approve or refuse the application. The determination date is noted on the validation notice.
