I don’t think your logic regarding number of wingers stands up.
Numerically yes, but he may well be playing, and is likely to be playing, well above that standard.
According to press reports at the time, it appears that St Helens made an approach for him in late 2022 to replace Regan Grace but he apparently turned them down.
Clearly they must have considered him suitable for top end Super League around 18 months ago.
We don’t know why he is playing at the level he currently is, whether there are mental, physical, or any other reasons but like you, though unlikely for capability reasons, I don’t think we will see him here and whatever is in his past I wish him well for the future. End of

If Booth is a future international does that make Pratt a future golden boot winner? It’s just paper talk. If he’d have signed for Cas/Hudds etc barely an eyelid would have been batted.
