Doncaster have a decidely senior nature to their squad. Ferres won't be 38 for a couple of weeks, but will still be four years younger than Misi Taulapapa. Then they have Sam Smeaton, Craig Hall, Suaia Matagi and Jason Tali, who are all 36.

Of course, the oldest player in the division remains the inexhaustible Paul Sykes, though I don't think he has played much for Dewsbury this year.

Said to my mate after another one of the several Olpherts errors, again, just think how good we will be when McGillvary gets back on the field even with the Lino blockage down that side. Another year would not be good for him in my opinion. He's coming to the end. This season he could do really well but I don't think he'll be going a full season in Super League next year. And it seems that's his opinion too, though who knows what will happen when we get to that point of the season.

Olpherts isn't perfect but he does what we need right now. Plenty of people found it difficult to catch the ball in that wind.
But as you say, I'll be happier when Jerry is back.

Well deserved win yesterday, don't think we needed to get out of 2nd gear without meaning any disrespect to Donny. On Olpherts, we knew what we'd be getting and if we're honest, he's a 2nd choice right winger for a championship team, are we really able to recruit anyone else better for a back up role at least for this season anyway? Gale and Lino both played well and their kicking games were far better this week but the star of the season for me so far is Atoni. He's easily the best prop in this league and we drop intensity when he's off the field. Not to say the other props aren't performing well, he's just so much better than anything else we have!

York have there first choice 6 and 7 back next week so it is a big test for Gale and Lino .Think one of the reason we some times look sluggish on the outer edges is as soon as Griffin as got to move to centre we have no pace in the centres to get in to space to get there winger away Will get shot down but it is in parts of the back 7 were we are struggling We may getaway with it in the Championship but not in S L .Just for the record think Lino is getting a lot of unfair stick ,overall is game is sound and is tackling as improved 100% from last season
