Quote ="Scarlet Pimpernell"I begin to worry about our persecution complex, it’s referees and now it’s agents both of which are complete bunkum. If we are relegated the main culprit is ourselves and starting with 14 league defeats.'"
Nobody has said that about agents. We’ve already had this about Whitbread a few times this season and this is just a repeat of that. It doesn’t actually say very much at all and I certainly wouldn’t call it newsworthy. I just find the random timing of this recycling of news on interest in Whitbread interesting.
This topic isn’t about relegation it’s about Whitbread. Everyone is aware of the threat of relegation and absolutely nobody would suggest that if we are relegated it would be for anything other than the fault of the club as a whole.
Referees are discussed most weeks by all clubs fans in the league. Trinity are no different in this respect. I think it highlights the issues with the investment in officials and supporting technology by the sport personally. Referees can be discussed and are most weeks within match threads. You just get some people blaming refs for losses but equally those who accuse fans of blaming the ref who are simply trying to discuss the officiating and points in a game that occurred. Those fans are just as bad.
Back to Whitbread…. If he’s fit and ready to go we need big things from him on the pitch that’s for sure. I hope he is back for next week,
