But that's exactly my point Luppy. If they are ready then play them. If they are not then don't play them just because the rest of the team are rubbish.

I'd don't think any player is ready without getting a good run of first team games. They can look great in acadmey/reserve games but without experiencing that step up they have no chance to improve.

I think you’re right there and that’s ‘blooding’ them if you like.
It’s quite different to selecting a player who is completely not ready to step up.

I agree. If they've looked good in reserves then they deserve a step up, but not just looking good in academy. That's a big step.

Your right i do and watched them in academy last year too,now as i said im no coach but i believe they are ready esp joe law who i have seen play for a number of years.the reserves are at home on saturday maybe folk should go see some of these young lads play,i wont be there as im at work and the lad is out with HIA he picked in last reserve game otherwise id of posted who goes well
