Quote ="Clearwing"In fairness to Peet, what he actually said was watching saints v Leeds, not saints and Leeds. And on that score he's not wrong - they've torn us a new one for the last god knows how many times we've met
'"
What he said was:
"It's like watching different sports at times, when you see say Wigan v Warrington or St Helens v Leeds, compared some of the other games that descend into a bit of stop start.
I understand that some teams have to play to their strengths and also negate the strength of the opposition, but it's probably not the product we are looking for"
Pretty disingenuous to clubs other than the four that he specifically mentions and as I suggested, these comments are made for a reason and whilst it's easy to see why he would be bitter after his side got well beaten by Trinity, this kind of comment is unwelcome and damaging to the other clubs and the sport of RL.
Wigan are a very successful club, no question but, they certainly havent always been a shining light of how to run a club and how to play the game.
