Not from the scrum base or anywhere else.'"
We haven't had anything like this since Sam Williams and Liam Finn left. Williams is one of the most underrated players we ever had and Finn guided us around the pitch. Since those 2 left we have not had a general to do that. (Brough wasn't on the field enough)'"
I don’t want this to turn into a bashing post but I must say I thought we started early season well drilled and looked like we were incorporating some semblance of attacking plays … switch plays behind the ruck and looked to be finding some reasonable space through passing across the line. We also looked quite well drilled in defence early season.
For whatever reason we seem to have fallen away from that and are struggling to get back to it. Since the games came thick and fast I think we’ve gone from looking well drilled to just coasting by on what looks like little prep work game to game.
It seems to me that we are firefighting poor performances when perhaps the best thing is to rip it up and go to basics and find a baseline then build slowly some basic attacking structures.
I completely accept that the coaches are the experts though and it’s just my opinion.
