Being in a rush suggests slight desperation/urgency which can result in increased demands but waiting could also suggest complacency/confident of a deal so I guess its a fine line and thankfully one I don't have to sort out. MC and team are pretty shrewd so until I see confirmation he is going or gone he's still a Wakefield player

I'm a huge DF fan but I think the club have got this one right. It is a long season and I would love DF to stay if he continues to show the form he did last season, but we shouldn't resign him on the basis of last season but rather this season's form.
I'm sure he will produce the goods and, hopefully he will want to stay with us!

Big fish in a little pond springs to mind with big dave ,and would his affable nature go down that well at the bigger clubs or his layed back demeanour.
Remember sinfield some years ago saying Leeds don’t push the boat out on players wages and he could have gone to other clubs for more but they used the lure of cups and medals to snare players .
Personally think big dave is always going to move on sooner or later it’s the nature of the game ,so let’s savour the time we have with him and be thankful that he chose to play part of his career in the famous red/white and blue shirt.
Didn’t know much about him before he signed but has certainly left a big impression on me ,and really happy in the knowledge that the club can attract players of his caliber, that only a few years ago wouldn’t give us a second glance .
