So reading between the lines it seems like this has got to be the coaching team that is causing this problem but only a couple of posters dare say it when you play like we did against Wigan & Saints & then the week after you haven't got a clue it can't be the players they come out for the first half & they play like the don't know each other that surely has to be something in training they surely can't be talking to each other before in the dressing room & saying "Right what are we doing this week" "Err don't know what you think" "I don't know don't ask me" but that's what it looks like so somebody must be at fault

Defence Defence Defence!! We are great with ball in hand but concede far too many tries especially out wide. The top 4 sides rarely concede more than 4, we've slipped back in the second half of the season to conceding 6 or 7 a game again after being really on the mettle in the earlier part of the season. If we wanna step up to the next level like we almost did last season then we have to improve defensively, my take on it anyway.

Don’t think it’s a money thing myself as they have proven they can compete with the big teams on numerous occasions,then succumb to teams we should brush aside.you only have to look at Leeds for this theory.
It’s got to be their mental state or focus that gets the team up and down for games that is erratic to say the least .
Not another team in super league blows a team out of the water one week with champagne rugby then puts a performance in like at hudds .
I haven’t a clue what goes into coaching a team and I may be way of the mark but from where I sit the only thing that’s holds them back is mental toughness and a belief in them self’s .
How this is fixed I don’t know and it’s just my opinion.

we need a new direction in attack - I even think Miller could do more or be replaced .

agree with Hirst surely we look somewhere else next year

We are not that far away yes we could do with a new face in the front row but the weak link for 3 seasons has being halfback Miller far too inconsistent and Finn simply not good enough at SL level Hampshire is worth another year
We also have two other ageing players who spend more time in the treatment room than on the field
If MCB is going I would like to see the 2 above offloaded and the combined salary of the 4 put to bringing in 1 class scrum half in

I would also hope that the up and coming super 8 games are used to give some of the younger squad players a game or 2 Crowther etc

Agree with some posters we need to clear some of the decks like Hirst and MCB as taking up squad spots and either not getting a game or not playing to level required. Would like to think these could be replaced with the likes of kopczak and other quality players to fill the spaces. Perhaps then when we need to rotate this makes have strength in depth
