Apart from injuries let’s remember that he’s had a raft of significant retirements in Sinfield, Leuluai, Burrow, Peacock, McGuires moved on and Hardaker imploded. They’ve also allowed JJB and Ablett to grow old without adequately replacing any of these players like for like.
He’s overseen the successful introduction of Walker, Oledski, Smith, Golding, Singleton, Handley, Lilley, Walters, Newman, Ward & Sutcliffe to name Just a few juniors.
Hes been a great coach and despite current form I can’t see the justification for his sacking.
Knowing Hetherington he’ll already have someone lined up to step in at the club before he gave big Brian the chop.
Don’t think they’ll go too many games rudderless ,especially with the big split looming .

I'm pretty sure my hoping won't actually impact his chances and I'm also pretty confident he'll have a great coaching career whether he applies or not.
