Ian Milward was arguably the top coach in the league on reputation when he joined Wigan and it turned out to be a disaster. Too much history between players and coach.
Wane is Wigan through and through he lives and breathes the place, sometimes to the detriment of the team, his handling of Rocky for example.
I just don't see how it would work for him at any other club. He created the culture over years at Wigan.
He admits his form fell off drastically as a player when he was sold to Leeds and he considered retiring, I just don't see how he would bring that passion and loyalty to any other club for his management methods to work.
