Both Jonathan (inflatable Armadillo) and myself post things frequently on here about the Stadium. The truth is that there is little to report. Unit 1 at NM (NewCold) has not even begun, and we need at least one more unit up before we can proceed. In the meantime, both of us are now on the Wakefield and District Community Trust through which the Stadium will be built. It may not sound much, but it is recognition of the influence that supporters have had on the progress to date which, in Sir Rodney's own words, was pivotal.

We continue to peruse the avenues open for funding etc in order to close up any funding gaps we may have and we will review everything over again until we find the right package for us.

With regards to Castleford, they are applying for a retail development on a Greenbelt site. This is not easy, even with Council support, but they have a real chance IMO and I hope they make it work. However, talk of it being built by 2016/7 is nuts, again IMO, just going on the pace that ours has followed, which means there is no immediate pressure on us. We are aware of it though and will not relax.

I hope this helps, even if there is nothing concrete (literally) that I can tell you - yet!

Yet despite being new you naturally assume there has been no info or updates provided on this forum and accompany with an angry face icon. This despite there being plenty of thread on this subject if you'd have just scrolled back a few pages.
