Quote ="deeHell"If the basis of this meeting is what we can do going forward then forget it. There is no going forward until we find out what has happended, why all the secrecy? Why do we have to part with our money on a basis of trust?
Why did Elstson lie to us on the radio? Why after that is he still at the club? Why has Elston and Glover gone quiet? Something just doesn't look right. As already said, we were soon to jump to sceptical conclusions when the Bulls made a similar plea, how do we know were not in the same boat. Is administration a good possability at the end of this? Seen as they won't be "looking forward" questions I don't suppose I'll be able to ask them.
Talking to everyone at the game on Sunday it quite clear that the fans in general don't have any confidence in the management. The reaction to Carter was suspicion. Everyone was just mad at the board let it get to this. This "whats happended is in the past" attichude will not win any of the larger supporter base over. Fans simply will not get behind the fund raising (at least not in the numbers needed) if they have no confidence in the board. The fans confidence has to be restored, the first part of the meeting should a truthful q&a about what has happended. A full explanation about How we got here why the fans have been lied to.'"
sorry but despite my respect for sandal cat trb and all, theres a real feeling that the trial hasnt taken place, so the reabilitation and trust cant start, feel t will be a hard meeting to control, good luck but I agree with much of what is above, and so do many others, in my opinion the recovery of this club, if it happens at all, will be a slow process, i hope it goes well in the long run, but dont see how at present a meeting not touching mainly on the subject of the truth will help.
