Quote ="Trinity Till Death"I'm disappointed with how the season has progressed. Not because of where we'll likely finish or the points tally but because of the following;
1. The reluctance and lack of faith shown in our younger players
2. Use of interchanges
3. The inability to respond and improve weak area's of our game e.g. Ball handling, wide defence, game management
That said, there are plenty of positives too;
1. Kirmond's leadership
2. Crowd average and high numbers of ST Holders
3. The ability of the pack to compete with any team
4. Resigning of key players
When we advertised for a new coach one of the main area's to address was the development and progression of our academy players. I have seen little from Agar to suggest he is capable of bringing through these lads into the first team. Signings such as Lyne (whilst not a bad player), Singleton and Molloy were not needed. Wildie, Kaye, Cowling, Trout, Annakin should have been given their opportunity especially when playing well in previous games.
I think there is an awful lot more potential in these players, hopefully we'll see it next year but i'm slightly underwhelmed'"
I agree Kaye could have been given a run earlier than now. Singleton and Molloy turned out poor, Annakin played out of position then almost forgotten about. Cowling now on way to Halifax but little seen of him. Trout not super league standard and Wildie very promising when seen but not enough.
