Quote ="JINJER"Mail the club! I mailed them at 11.45am, got a phone call from Davide Longo, very shortly after, we'll done the club, after speaking to Davide, whilst I don't appreciate having to move, now I've heard the reasoning I'm happy to follow suit.'"
This suggests that it is something that's now being strictly enforced rather than a situation where "home fans who have traditionally stood in the Western Terrace will not be prevented from doing so".
I've stood on the West Terrace for all but a handful of the matches I've watched over the 25 years I've been supporting Wakefield. The East Terrace is a far worse view and I hate watching rugby from behind the sticks at just about any ground (IMO the only semi-reasonable view from behind the sticks is the upper part of the away stand at Wigan).
Aside from the drunken "antics" in the north-east corner that have blighted a few of the more recent matches against Cas, the only time I've seen anything approaching "serious" trouble was (ironically) a match against Hull in the mid-nineties. Even then it was something that finished as quickly as it had started.
If this "polite request" has become a (ridiculous) rule in the space of a few matches, I may well have watched my last match at BV. Clearly the move to Newmarket can't come soon enough.
