Hi Everyone
Just wanted to give you all a quick update on my art residency with Wakefield Wildcats Community Trust.
By Christmas I will have worked with nearly 1000 children throughout Wakefield & Barnsley, with them helping design the mural which will adorn the East Stand, before being moved to the new stadium. The mural is looking truly amazing, and I should be able to give you all some sneak peaks after Christmas.
The children have created 1000's of images around the history of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats RLFC, which I will then edit into the 60 metre mural. Parts of which will have a bit of 3D thing going on also
I've been able to get children as young as 7 through the prestigious Arts Award, which is the art equivalent of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. It a huge thing this, and I am so proud of the children and the club for doing something so innovative.
As well as working with schools in Wakefield & Barnsley I've also started producing my own work based on Trinity, which brings me the exhibition.
I want to invite you all to an exhibition of my Trinity work, from the first 2 months of the residency, at the Art House (opposite the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane) on 28th November, starting @ 5pm, and running until 9pm. There will be wine and other refreshments.
Also there may be a few special guests
Please try and come along and meet me, as I can't wait to share with you the work I have been doing.
In the meantime please see the link to the Facebook fanpage for the project [urlhttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Wakefield-Trinity-Wildcats-Community-Trust-Artist-in-Residence-2012-13/361943703822349[/url
Thanks very much and hope to see you on the 28th.
