| A deal incorporating 1873 membership would be a great idea, or a discounted ST if you are part of 1873 club.

Agreed.
If I were Mr Glover, I'd also be looking at some kind of additional tie-in with WYW - a discount voucher with each ST or somesuch; he deserves to get something back into the business that is in all likelihood bankrolling WTW to some extent.

| Quote ="El Rey"Can't argue with that and have no wish to.
I don't see how we can be sure the club will raise more money by increasing prices to £200. I think it would be foolish.
The clubs not a charity, thats news to me mate, i have been donating to this worthy cause for a long time
The Gold and silver memberships do seem to work and is a big plus for fans who don't purchase a full season ticket.
My biggest gripe is (and its not aimed at Belly cos he does not mean it that way) those who have money see it differently from those who don't and in most cases don't care.
I expect and hope for a increase next season that reflects the climate in this sodding country.
£135 Early bird for existing holders and £150 Early bird for new season ticket holders and rising to £180.
We'll see.
Just a though, i paid less this season for my ST but bought 1 extra ST.'"
I also know where you are coming from, I'm 49 and as skint as I can ever remember when I should be minted by now. So cheap ticketing is a boom for me. The issue I have is not with me, you or Belly. It's with those who are part of the owt for nowt brigade. They are lapping up the cheap Rugby fat the moment - but IMO it's these people (many well able to pay full) who will moan and groan when the club needs to recoup some revenue as the squad builds and costs increase.
It's a delicate balance - on the one hand the club owes it to the fans to help out in these rough times and keep up the numbers - we certainly can't let people slip away. However on the other hand we can't devalue the price of a game so much that when times improve and we want to go forward people won't pay the proper rate.
At least for now it's targeted, if we start giving out masses of freebies then I will worry.

to compete with the best you have view what other clubs do, check out wigans, leeds, saints season tickets

now compare what you pay and the position we are in the league
we haven't built the euphoria (yet) within the fan base like the top clubs do but we now are in a position to announce the new stadium and got a young side that is competing well in the 9s, a few more good results in the u20s and we will be in the top 6.
we do get value for money but we need the like of sundays game to help expand the season ticket sales, not a case of the owt for nowt brigade vasty, most will come back time after time if results like that can be expected.
I expect us to pay full price when we get to Newmarket but we do now need to market the prices wisely or all the hard work will of been done for nothing.
As soon as this season finishes I would be looking at marketing next seasons straight away with early bird offers, I would also use the season ticket number into a prize draw to help encourage early offers, we sold 4K last season, lets say we had 4 draws with next season each with a 1K prize, that's just a £1 a season ticket
not rocket science, we talked gimmicks last season but nothing was done with the season ticket number, I also mentioned about what Huddersfield once did with a car as a prize early into the season. gimmicks do work and I hope the club just thinks this one out, we have a business man that should now all about hyping your brand.

| I'd also get all the sponsors and other corporate bodies involved with the club together, and work out a suite of benefits that they would be prepared to offer to next years ST holders. Off the top of my head, we have a gym chain, a multi-marque car dealer, several eateries, two shopping centres, a solar energy provider, a kitchen & bathroom supplier and of course a double glazing company on board; if they were all prepared to offer some kind of cross-incentive to ST purchasers that was presented in a brochure or similar format when the ticket was purchased, that might help.
I'm a sponsor, albeit in a relatively minor way, and I know that I'd certainly be prepared to participate in a scheme like that.
Just a thought.
