Quote ="seal"Last nights refereeing display was the worst i have seen from a referee in 15 years of watching rugby league. The fighting and ultimately the red cards and numerous scraps were down to his utter incompetence. Numerous decisions went in the home teams favour compared to a minor few in wakefields favour. All in all, a very poor show from the refereeing team led to the fighting and cheap shots due to frustration. Not to make excuses for the boys.
That being said salford were probably the better side last night.
For those wanting to know, the number 2 Sam Fletcher, 3 Lucas Walshaw (MOM in my opinion, best player on the pitch by a MILE). The Sin binning was for Jordan Grayston (1) for chelping at the referee after a (incorrectly) disallowed try and our red card was shown to Adam Slater (11) for the massive brawl. Both cards were deserved, as was the Salford red card.'"
Agree with you, but I wouldn't say Walshaw was the best player by a MILE. He did have a good game, more so in the second half when he was pushed back to centre and Wildie went back to half back where he could control our game better but I thought there were a few more who worked hard, unfortunately it mattered not and Salford were the deserved winners. Hopefully it was just a blip and they all can pull it back together ready for the next game.
